Not yet, i went into WHSmith this morning and they didn't have it so i'll try first thing tomorrow morning.

my friend claims that he managed to get his hands on it, but i questioned the validity of his claims.

he says that the userface is a bit awkward as hes quite used to the cm style with the menubar, he gave his general impression that alot of the players, like some of the stars (i.e henry) have been underatted in terms of stats, but they still perform like gods on the pitch.

the other thing i can remember is that he said that sometimes you can get lost in the depth of things, because there are so many different, i don't what the word is, but in something like an appelet you have lots of frames, he was saying something like if you start at one point its easy to get lost from your aim.

and that the there isnt much change in the match engine, except the game is slightly quicker.


p.s i think he may actually have his hands on it beause his dads a newsagent and he seems to hang out with the kind of people who would have a game before the release, so i don't know

ahh god, the agonising wait for it to be put online.The last couple fo days have been torture for me.

I won't be getting the Beta Demo when it is available to download tommorow, I can wait for the Gold Demo.

Meh i have no better games to play at the moment so ill be playing the beta demo

The demo is nice... haven't played it enough to see whether there are obvious bugs or not... but it's definitely different and better IMO.

PC Demo is out later today, you'll be able to play for 6 months all in all, I'm beginning to get wond up actually looking forward to it. I'll have to wait till I get home from work :mrpimp:

I have it, imho it's very nice, maybe even better thatn CM. it needs much memory, but it's oke. my first 3 matches with chelsea were 4:3, 4:1 and 3:0 ;) hehe

a question (or 2) for any1 who has it......how does it compare to cm03/04? what are the better/worse things in it??

Looks like its going to be a great game, at first a thought it was not going to be good but after a few matches i`m hooked. Can`t wait for full game now.

Difficult getting used tothe layout right now but hooked neverless. Had an average preseason with Wolves, two draws and a 1-0 win. Started the season with a 1- 0 victory over Burnley.

But it seems to be very difficult to score, Ganea liek missed five one on ones in a single match.. too bad I got school tomorrow wouldve played longer.

The gold demo will be sometime in October as release date has been announced officially as 5th November. They've already fixed a lot of bugs and problems. I suggest if anyone finds any bugs/problems/data errors post them on the si data or bug forum to get them sorted out for the full game. Might be best to see if its posted before though.

doing good with chelsea... undefeated in preseason and 2 games into the season. scoring isn't a problem, but i am chelsea so i never run out of forwards. the game is very similar to cm 03/04, so i feel right at home, the layout is a bit more difficult, but good nontheless.

i did notice that some players were kind of underrated... but still perform well on the pitch. back to blasting ferguson (H)

Damn that sucks, you should get XP thou:crazyboy: I wonder why anyone would still have 98 or ME... XP runs much better.

The players value is way over the top in this game (or under rated in some cases) that has to be sorted out.

The thing that is buggin me out is the fitness, everyone of my players seem to be too tired. Pires cant even finish the first half for gods sake:kader: Other than that its a pretty fun game.

players do get tired a bit too much.. but i'm gonna say its because the season heasen't started and they're out of shape.

Well I just downloaded, will take some getting used to (I was still getting used to CM4!) but looks OK. So far. ;)

any one would like to share their tactics? i using 442 and i made the tactic same with the tactic i used in cm03/04 and it simply not working :(

few player and team instructions i was not understand and don't know how it works as well. what mean by these tactics?

-creative freedom
-closing down (own area, all-over)
-marking and tight marking
-tempo (slow, normal, quick)
-width (narrow, normal, wide)
-defensive line (deep, normal, push up)
-use play maker
-use target man

another question. will it be any different if i move my slider bar at between? i mean for tempo, i just placed my slider bar between narrow and normal. will it be any different?

Lol I haven't really mastered those either, you can choose preset characteristics for their positions, that's what I did. It's working ok :confused: :p

Just downloaded it as well, for my tactic I just adjusted some of the instructions for the whole team and it got me a thrashing by Middelsbrough in my first game, probably should make a proper tactic I guess. :p

Impress by the game so far, i'm loving the media comments you can release about other managers. The presentation of the 2-d match engine looks alrite to.

With the instructions they're aren't really that hard to understand eg a team playing with a quick tempo is going to move the ball up the field faster where a team playing with a slow tempo is going to build up more.

Yeah, I've only just noticed the new media options! Cool! I think I might win (Hopefully) my first few matches before I start harassing other managers, just to build a rapport with the fans and gain some respect.

With "processing fixtures", what do all of the options actually mean? I have it on "Fastest - Can't Interrupt", but I don't know what it actually means :$

What's "Slowest - Play in background" do?

It's how the PC should calculate AI vs AI matches. If you have it on fastest, it's not possible to do anything during the calculation, and the slower you set it, the easier it gets to do stuff.

Stuff being non match-related gameplay.

I do think it is rather sad that they couldn't get this demo to perform fully on 98/ME operating systems. I suppose I got to see the match engine and the layout though.

What's "Slowest - Play in background" do?

If you select 'Fastest - Can't Interrupt' the game will process all other matches as quickly as possible and will not allow you to click and browse around whilst it's doing this (and this is obviously the quickest method of doing this).

'Slowest - Play in background' or any other setting other than the fastest one will show the pop-up dialog box with a 'Play in Background' option whilst the game processess.

Selecting 'Play in Background' will allow you to break into the game and browse around the interface whilst the game continues to process the matches.

I hope that makes sense.

But anyway, I have it on Fastest now, seems to be a very good game :D
