At least we played a halfway decent game. The DC United game was maybe the worst I've ever seen the Fire play. :(

Simutenkov free kick somehow goes right through the middle of the Fire wall. Henry Ring dives and punches the ball... into the ground, it bounces up and in the back of the net.

The problem with the Open Cup is that it is WAY too soon before the MLS season ends! it should finish like the FA Cup final being the last day of the season. :)

it wasn't a bad game, I was actually there, and the crowd could have been better though I don't believe kansas city does all that well with attendance anyways. about 8,000+ were at the game, including a good number of fire fans.

btw who replaced DMB in the fire lineup? and is he doing a good job so far?

i watched the beginning of the 2nd half, and KC was clearly dominating. Maybe Rhinos can win the Cup next year.

i think theres a bad organization in USA football (or soccer) ... they didnt played Copa america because their league didnt finished yet ... damn thats crappy ... and only 10 teams in league ... wow thats wrong ... at least 2 more teams should be added ...

but, ive been watchin MLS in ESPN2 latinoamerica, and its not so crappy as i thought it would be ... more support from fans and media would make USA mls bigger, they did a great participation in WC 2002 ... one of my favourite teams in korea japan ... and remember, they were eliminated unfairly; (germany's goal was ... mmm what i remember is that one player push the ball with his hand)
