its worked pretty well for me and my mate says he is doing well with it

I only played 3 games, firendly. I dont want to make a tactic yet, I think I'll wait for the full version (H)

i still confuse on some instructions. need to take quite a long time to figure out

Now theres a bit more choice with tactics I'd much prefer to make my own, besides im 4th in the table at the moment

this is mine. i found it pretty useful. beat arsenal 4-3, beat manchester city 3-1. put smith at the RAM position because c.ronaldo went to olympic ;)

Man, how did you change your font? I tried it - I copied Arial from C:\WINDOWS\Fonts to the FM fonts folder, renamed it "fm main.ttf" and yet still it doesn't work, just screws up when I try to open it??

Not had chane to make a tactic. Whats the point of worrying about a tactic for the Beta demo? Its obviously not gonna work in the full game

\\delete the fm main.ttf

\\and then paste a new font

\\rename it to fm main

\\dont put in the .ttf

same as what you used to do to it in CM0304 int it?

Mmm, that could be where my problem is?

My FM fonts are .t2k files, not .ttf. (ie; fm main.t2k, fm scoreboard.t2k, fm symbol.t2k).

if your hide extension was on, rename your new font from WINDOWS/Fonts to "fm main", if your hide extension was off, you must rename to "fm main.ttf" because if you didn't do so, you will screw up the file extension

"fm main" is the file name
"ttf" is the file extension

great idea. i found out in FM, who conquer the midfield who win the game. i play against liverpool. they using simliar tactic as well and they beat me 3-0. 2 long shots by Gerrard and Alonso :( CPU tactics are like this

yup, i pack it full with hamann gerrard and alonso, works great.

also it gives kewell and garcia chance to get forward more.

i think i've managed to stumble accros a decent tactic, its the first time i've played a game and there wasn't even ONE highlight for the CPU, its only the 2nd game of pre season but the tactic seams 2 b working well, just look at the amount of shots created and the player ratings. maybe someone else should try it out and see if it works.

it's true, whoever controlls the middle will usually win the game. of course, if its man u over a team from iceland... i'm thinking man u will win, but from what i've seen, midfield controlls the pace of the game.

I also think having a AMC is a must

I have a question. I downloaded a tactic and put it into the tactics folder but the tactics not in the game! so does anyone know where it is?

Hmm, my best one was like that, but a slow, short passing, narrow game

Here is what I use. Very narrow and unimagnative but it is solid as a rock and creates chances and goals are scored.

i mean no offence by this but from the original beta demo the match engine has been changed so much that most of these tactics will be compltley different im afriad, but it will still be interesting to see their effect.

i made an attacking 4-4-2 for lyon....played half-a-season of the gold demo and was on top of french league with 43 points out of 19 games with 51 goals scored and 21! conceded, lost about 4 games and got kicked out of cl against manu, roma and psv, won psv twice, lost both games to roma and drew one and lost one against manu. i think thats close to realistic.

what about team instructions?

I think FM has no super tactics... they all depend on the team

I have a simple 4-4-2, the wingers running up, RCM (Barton) going back into the DM position, and LCM (Sibierski) up into the AM position... then I change the player instructions to suit the player more

2W-3L-3D so far, beat Everton 3-0 at home and Villa 3-0 away (H) unbeaten in 4 matches :hump:
