Here is some of mine:

On offence:
when you run farward and the enemy comes near you and you don't have any easy passes, turn 180 degrees and pass backwards (instead of passing you can also try to complete a 360 degrees cycle, and many times this will shake the player from you). Joining this with a very patient game, the enemy will rarely take the ball from you.

An easy score is to break on the right wing, and then when you are about 20 meters away from the 16 meter box, and you see the striker in front of you just about starting to run farward, you use an offensive pass (the one which send the ball a bit farward from the player), once the ball is at the striker, you immediately break left into the 16 box (the defense player does not interfere most of the times), and run at a diagonal line right to the keeper, and shoot when you are about 7 meters from him.

On Defence:
When the computer has the ball in your half of the court, *never* defend the guy with the ball, defend only the player you assume he is going to pass the ball to. It seems stupid and not intuitive, but try and see what happens.

Things I don't understnad:
How the hell do you score a goal from a corner situation ?. In Fifa04 I made numerous goals from the corner situation, and now none. The keeper always seem to have the upper hand.

i hope to god that your strategy doesn't work often.

this is exactly like the corners from fifa 2003
you had a 50% chance if you pass it in the middle and push the button at the right time or something like that.

there shouldn't be a SET way to score a goal, you have to exploit the defences weakness, and i hope that the weakness isn't the exact same every single time

This strategy does work all the time for me. I keep scoring the same goal over and over again. The exact same replica. It doesn't work on EVERY offense, but if you follow this recipe again and again, you can score this goal 4-5 times in the time period you are given in the demo. Isn't it enough ?.

Overall I feel Fifa05 is much more enjoyable than 04, mainly because you can dribble the ball, and don't always have to pass it in order to get over the defense. I hated 04 for that. The fact that you must pass the ball in order to pass the defender is the most unnatural thing one can think of in soccer. It is stops being soccer and starts being pinball.

I just let Henry do his thing and I beat the CPU everytime..

but i hate this thread, this is just showing that this game is going to be so linear once again. :kader: :kader:

i'm just pissed off that this thread actually CAN be made.

is not that hard to beat CPU. when you shot, you doesn't need to press the power too hard or else keeper will save them all. just type the shoting button once. keeper will just watch the ball rolling into the net. same as long shot ;) not sure work on others or not, but is definately work on me.

i score 3 long shots in the game by KAKA and 3 rolling shots by Crespo and Shevchenko. i win 6-0 :D

use the easy-as-hell set pieces on free kicks to score a 50 meter free kick...

i would shoot everytime i have the ball close to the area with those 190 km/h shots...

hahaha, you're right the opponent always got faster to the ball to do a bicycle kick and your keeper nearly every time missed catching the ball......:crazyboy:

I haven't played enough to find out if there are any exact playes where I can always score, but I have to agree on free kicks. They are too easy once u get a hang of free kicks. I score on more than half the free kicks and that includes some distant ones. The Comps doesn't seem to foul that often though. I usually only get 2 maybe 3 decent free kick chances in a game. Maybe its bc of the way I play.

believe me, free kicks are so easy to use, i dunno why some people don't learn how to use em, you just need to aim on the lower part of the ball, and it will ALWAYS jump the barrier and hit its target......its easy as hell, i remember my last game last week, 60 meter free kick and i scored!! lol

Dont know if you realized but, there are different levels to the game. Try it on pro, then WC. If you tell me youre already on WC I say youre a liar!

after long term reserach...i found my team for world class...arsenal
i use patrick and sol for middle of defence of 4 4 2 bergkamp and gilberto mýddle of the pitch then henry-reyes for strýke

Have a cry, I have PES as well and both become equally tiresome in scoring- it's a matter of setting up your tactics and positioning to reflect your style of play
