Maybe if he achieved something on the pitch he'd be more highly rated. Scolari only used him in the WC to keep ball possession.

Scolari used him so well though. Remember when 4 or 5 Turkish players were after him at the end of the game?

I too was gonna start a thread about him. It seems he always has some problem with someone both on and off the field.

Betis should do a lot better than they are with the wingers they have.

Denilson on the left and Joaquin on the right = :hump:

I believe he will leave soon as he is always making the wrong headlines. He apparently wants to play in England, and i hope he does. One of the best dribblers ever.

At time time when there was commotion about him (like before 1998ish), he was considered one of the best dribblers for sure.... but now look at the state of football in terms of dribbling talent. It seems like almost every promising youngster out there has incredibly dribbling abilities and the pace to make it count. Denilson to me was nothing really more than a novelty player that never did a whole lot and now that it seems like everyone has excellent dribbling he has really fallen out of the limelight.

Anyway, yeh i agree there are a lot of great dribblers out there but Denilson is still amongst the best. He doesnt get an outcome as often as other classy dribblers though (eg Giggs, Ronaldinho, etc).
