Hello all. Just wondered if a couple of features were finally in this years version?

One thing I've always wanted to do on that game is to choose who the team captain is before every match. Can we do it now?

Also, is it now possible for goalies to take free kicks/corners/penalties? (This is hilarious on Pro Evo & Euro!)

Any help is greatly appreciated and I apologise if these questions have been previously asked.

Captain: Yes, Options-->Tactics-->Captain at any time before a match.

Goalie Set Pieces: No :)

Thank you! Really glad about captaincy! (H) About time it was in there. Does that apply to all modes of play (Friendly exhibition etc)?

does captain option influence at player stats/game?

For friendlies, you can go to options-->tactics-->captaincy from the main menu, and it works just like in Career. I just checked in a Tourney, there is an options menu in there as well.

As far as what impact captaincy has, I really have no idea.

One more thing:

May sound strange but have hairstyles now been updated?! Has Beckham got a shaved head and Figo got longer hair (not the short style from last year)?

damn, you cant get to choose who will take the free kick?? in PES you just hit pause, and click the option "kick tackers"....:confused:

Sure, you can do that in FIFA 2005 as well. You just have to make sure you pause it before they line up to kick :)

Beckham had a shaved head. I took no notice of Figo, nor do I know what he looked like last year.

Man, why can't we get keepers to do penalties even? That sucks.
Can you change captaincy during game on Career mode?

LOL nobody knows...but i thnk may be if ur captain is the perfect leader he could make a difference when ur 0-2 behind...

Yeah, but that's annoying. If I'm not quick enough, I can't choose who takes the kick.

So, anyone know if Figo has his longer hair and not the short style from last year? Would it be too much to ask someone to turn on the game and play as Portugal/Real Madrid and have a look for me?!

In what situation would it be a good idea to give your keeper a penalty in the middle of a match?

Sometimes just for a laugh! On Pro Evo my goalie was one of my top scorers as he scored every time he took a free kick/penalty. It's just unusual. That's why I do it anyway.

I have a screenshot from the game which I have absolutely no idea how to attatch but it looks like Figo has his short hair in the game this year ..
