If u make a sub half time it gets mentioned by the commentators
and at any other stage i think not seeeing yet another cinematic is better though keps the gameplay flowing

I don't want substitution animations, but there should at least be some text at the bottom of the screen that says (for example) "Reyes off -> Bergkamp on" (like in 2004).

Agreed no real feedback on "who" is actually going off and "who" is coming on.

I guess this will be a patch made by one of the experts out there :)
