Is it just me or is there's is a level missing between 2 stars and 3 stars in PES3 and PES4.

2 Stars: i can't score at least 6 goals every game with the Real Madrid line up. it becomes to easy

3 Stars: i can't score at all ,after 10 games i have 7 draws and 3 loses. it puts me in a very bad mood playing at this level i just can't score. 80% of the game im defending

Help me OB1 Kenobi, you're my only hope

IT seems that there is a big jump between 2 -> 3

3 -> 4 cant notice really
4 -> 5 cant notice

3 -> 5 forsure

I am going to be interested in the 6 star level and see just how much harder it is than 5 star.

i am surprised nobody has told you yet to "practice more".... that's usually the answer you get around here for every problem ;)

but seriously: you're not alone. i've been playing PES since the old PS1 days, yet on my first bunch of matches with PES3 (PC) level 3 i couldn't score at all. it was just as if the CPU wouldn't let me. there were several situations in it in which i truly, seriously could tell: the CPU mad me miss that one, not my shabby play. in master league it was usually 0-0s, occassionally a 1-0 win. gets quite boring after a while. my highest victory ever -- counting at least 100 PES3 ML matches has been.... (looks down in shame)... a 3-0. it's fine to have a low score, but sometimes one wishes a good team (like Real) dominate a bad team a bit more obviously.

you also need to know, that games get progressively harder the more you play (adaptive AI). that seems to be independent of the level you play on. i've heard people saying that after a while (that is 20+ successive games) it gets even difficult to score on level 2. why Konami has this BS solution, i don't know.

then there are some who claim, that level 4 is actually harder than 5....

it's all kind of weird and inexplicable..

Its all about the finishing.

That and a good defence.

I play 5 stars and have been able to win most games more through a good defence and lack of goals scored against me.

Mind you I am finding it a lot more difficult to score on the XBOX PES4. Might put it down to the controller or the 'new' movement of the players on the field.

Gonna have to wait to it to come on PC to really comment or the difficulty level compared to PES3.

I feel there's not much different between 3 stars and 5 stars.

well, in truth, dun get discouraged and just play more. :)

Try passing more, 1 - 2s, etc. you will get the hang of it after awhile and u will begin to appreciate the game more heh :)

If I as a Fifa player beat the ass of five stars Italy with Sweden you should be able to:crazyboy:

Seriously, I first started with 2 stars. It was easy even when I was a noob. Tried 3 stars 20 minutes later and it was a challenge. Hard to score and hard to take the ball when CPU dribbles... But play more and 4 stars will not be a diff. It's like 3 stars just a bit faster CPU. No bigg digg between 4 and 5 either but if the CPU have skilled players like Raul you will have hard to take the ball from them.

I always attacked as stupid but when I learned PES3 more I played like in real and had patience in defense so I don't play 4-4 games.

Be concentrated in defense and follow the player who have the ball and in attack you should develope your on tactic. I usually dribble with players like Ronaldo and ronaldinho so I get a numerous advantage in attack and can score.

My favourite is to dribble the goalkeeper. That's like an orgasm for me.

As you hear I enjoy this freaking game now and I love the celebrations when you win things. How you get medals and the techno etc
