View Full Version : WCQ - Iraq v Uzbekistan [P+R]
rony31 13-10-2004, 09:51:PM game just started, I gotta leave for school in 5 minutes though :(
must-win game for Iraq, Uzbekistan lead the group with 10 points, Iraq have 8
last game was a 1-1 draw
Krypton X 13-10-2004, 11:12:PM Livescore.com + goalzz.com = :-puke:
Both have been showing a scoreless game when already there's been 3 goals in the match.
2nd half just started: Uzbekistan 2-1 Iraq
Uzbeks stunned Iraq with 2 early goals, Iraq nicked one back and are probably the better team so far. Uzbeks seem comfortable now to just sit back and shut up shop. Iraq need to score 2 more otherwise their run to the world cup is all but over :kader:
Other scores in Asia:
Singapore 2 - 0 India :o
Hong Kong 2 - 0 Malaysia
and Lebanon 1 - 1 Sth Korea (H-T) :crazyboy:
Vagegast 13-10-2004, 11:27:PM I like Iraq because they're the only decent team in the whole area. I'm definitely rooting for them :rockman:

:o you don't seem to know a lot about asian teams, because if you did, you'd know that Iran is probably the top team in that whole area, and in the top 3 in all of Asia. Did you watch the Asian Championship?
Ever heard of Karimi, Daei, Hashemian and Karimi?
xxxFLYERxxx 13-10-2004, 11:39:PM hahahah, Vagegast got shot down.

Looks like you'll have to wait another 4 years with us man :(
Game over: Uzbeks 2-1 Iraq :|
Lucky Uday won't be around when the Iraqis get back, only a bunch of pissed off terrorists with AK-47s
Iraq gave up after one of their players got sent off, and i just realised this was the same ref we had in the China game back in the Asia cup, he red carded 2 of Iraq's players back then, if he disappears off the face of the earth one of these days you don't have to wonder long where he's gone :p (j/k)
anyway, i can't believe i've stayed up till 3am for this piece of **** of a game :kader:

Ever heard of Karimi, Daei, Hashemian and Karimi? Iran's problem isn't lack of talent but organization. Y'll need a foreign coach. And performing at the Asian Cup is nothing if you can't qualify for the World Cup. If Iran truly is "top team in the whole area," they'd have no problem qualifying. Iraq has far more talent and potential.
Half of the Iranian team has the same first name as me  (H)
Edit: Okay, I may be biased because of where I'm from :$ :p

rony31 14-10-2004, 01:48:AM just got back from school to see the score
it's like somebody chewed up my heart, spit it out and then **** on it :(
maybe in 4 years...
damir831 14-10-2004, 03:47:AM I'm not from Iran or anything, I just know that they have a few good players. I don't know anyone from Iraq.
I thought Iran played a 16 year old and a few other teenagers.
BTW, don't talk about qualifying for the WC.
Iran qualified in 98 and lost to a very stront Ireland team in 2002. They were actually the first team to beat Ireland in 20 games back then or something like that.
