This is a similar story to the end of the Serie A. Cerezo Osaka had a two point lead going into the final game, over the Yokohama F Marinos. The Marinos won their game, while Cerezo lost, giving them a 1-point win!

There are quite a few players the Marinos owe their title to. The first being Yoo Sang-Chul, who despite mising six games due to injury, is one of the top scorers in the J-League. He has a goal a game ratio. Another person is the recently signed Edmilson, who also missed six games but still scored six goals. Shunsuke Nakamura was the main midfielder, with three goals and around 20 ASSISTS!!! Endo and Matsuda have also helped him out. Finally, national team goalkeeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi has been amazing saves game after game.

GOOD LUCK IN THE SECOND STAGE!!!

Would have been better for the J-League in general for Cerezo to win though. They were unlucky to have the v-goal scored against them, but I was actually cheering for Frontale to beat them as the underdogs.

Go Antlers in stage 2!

Xizor,

Here's how the point system works:

Win in 90 Min = 3 points
Win in OT = 2 points
Draw After OT = 1 point
Loss = 0 points

A pretty similar system.
