We will end Arsenal's unbeaten streak, not that other manchester team :p

I am surprised Kev hasn't made one of his stupid 'challenging for the top six' speeches yet :(

I've watched the 2nd half. Chelsea missed some opportunities to score, but anyway, deserved result for City. I remember saying on one of those threads that i would like to see Chelsea going down on the score once more to see what they would do.

They were lost, not to mention Gudjohnsen's ridiculous miss.

Haukur Gudnason
17-10-2004, 08:11:AM
This is exactly the type of result City is likely to pull off :p

Bloody marvellous, keep it up except against us :$

ROB, WHAT'S THE SCORE LA~ (H)

Some of Mourinho quotes:
He was adamant over the spot-kick. “The penalty was not a penalty,” he asserted. “For a start it was outside the box. You have in the Premiership this season some decisions that you can smile or cry at. I can remember a penalty against Arsenal and because of the players’ pressure they changed the decision against them. We couldn’t do this. The players went to him but he wouldn’t change his mind.

“I think he only saw one thing: Chelsea no 20 shirt. From his position that’s all he could have seen. And from 40 metres’ distance minimum. It was his decision. The game is over and I have to accept the reality.

“In the first half [in a melee in the City goalmouth] I can’t understand why the ball didn’t go in the net – it came off everybody.”

Mourinho will be criticised for his comments but he actually told the truth.

The penalty was a free kick, bad call by the referee.

Even still, Chelsea were outplayed.

When City are on form they can actually do very well.

First of all that definitely wasn't a penalty, second of all Gudjohnsen once again proves to me how big of a f*cker he is, he missed an empty net by about 4 yards :|, third of all City's defense was just brilliant :o if they would play defense like that against every single team they would be a force to be reckon with.

yep Steaua I saw that miss my Gudjohnsen, it was f*cking terrible. I'm sure Mourinho will leave him on the bench next match.

This proves that arsenal can come from a goal down and still pull out a well deserved victory while chelski cannot
i bet before the game murinho was sayin
"We will go unbeaten, just like Arsenal did. Were better!"

Proved him wrong didnt we....that dumb ****!

gunner take it easy, without Chelsea who would be Arsenal's competition? It makes it interesting to have a 2-team title race, obviously Arsenal are probably going to win unless a catastrophe strikes their club, but without Chelsea Arsenal would be shoe-ins to win the league, in all honesty to other clubs (including Man U).

henry#14
17-10-2004, 12:58:PM
actually, I'd much rather have a team like Man U as our competition than Chelsea. Man U>Chelsea

Maurinho is a class act, makes watching match of the day so much more interesting

I was impressed with City yesterday, we all know super kev likes his attacking football but it looks like he's tightened that defence up so far this season :o
