Hm, this seems to be never ending question. I have Logitech WIngman RumblePad and for now I succeeded to enable "z" button which is used for modifier(RumblePad Extender for Fifa04 worked). But, this is what i cant get: how to associate special button for dribblings(which is shift on keyboard)? What should I set in config.dat file if I want for example to set that dribbling action to "z" button?
Thanx in advance!

Oh, you need a program to enable that button! Where can I download it? I can't find it on google.

Cheers. Once I get this working, I'll sniff around. I'm usually pretty good at fighting config files.

Just to be clear, what setting in FIFA2005 do you want z to be set to?

I assume you know what is the purpose of the SHIFT button if You use keyboard? Same function i want to assign to "z" button.
(maybe its called special function button, im not sure, but im sure it is used for special moves, dribblings, etc...)
:)

P.S. I'm counting on Your skills for editing config file.
THANX!

Hmm. I thought shift was the modifier but I was wrong, that's C. On my rumblepad the right hand analog controller acts like shift (except better as you can dummy one way without having to awkwardly turn that way a bit).

right analog i believe is for 1st touch and everything you'd do with the shift key.

(just from experimenting.)

I know I can use right analog for that, i just asked if possible to reassign that to another button, "z" for example.

I can easily use the right stick for first touch controls and tricks but I have another problem....

Both of my Pads work properly in the game but I canīt change the configuration of the buttons.
I have already looked, and both of my Pads appear unter /Fifa2005/Data/System/config.dat:

"Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad USB" 10 "Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad USB" 10 1 2 3 4 5 8 7 10 9 6

"Logitech DualAction USB" 10 "Logitech DualAction" 10 1 2 3 5 4 6 7 8 10 9

They also Appear under MyDocuments/Fifa2005/config.dat in the right way f.e. YES "Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad USB" !?

They look like that in SystemSettings:

I can play but in the game, in the options menu for configuration I just get shown Keyboard and MS Multimedia Keyboard angezeigt..not even one of my pads

I read a lot of threads already and my pads are both even mentioned in the manual. I tried with logitech drivers and even without but no change.

I even changed the names of the pad later on in the registry so that they match the exact name in the first config.dat but nothing changed

I can play with the from EA assigned buttons, but I cannot change anything of the mapping...

Thanks boshko. Downloaded it. Is there still a walk button in fifa 2005. How do you shoot on the ground?
