Holland organized a friendly between the best foreign players of the century, played in Holland versus the best Dutch players of the century:
Because of the age of some players (f.i. Cruijff) unlimited substitutes were allowed.
On a certain moment a four man super-attack was in the field:
Gullit-Bergkamp-van Basten-Cruijff
When of the same age that would probably have been one of the strongest attacks of the world. It was real fun.....

The Dutch are the best footballers (my opinion) why is that?

Han was Dudek playing for the foreign stars? I saw no news reports on this game can you say what the score was?

A mouthwatering attack Gullit-Bergkamp-Van Basten-Cruyff. I think the final score was 1-1. Even Faas Wilkes played at the age of 77 I think.

I saw the game too. What a tempo there was! I can tell you the 0-1 was scored by Simon Tahamata (a Belgian player who used to play in Holland, lives really close to me). The dutch goal was a header µ, but I can't remember whose...

It would be great if anyone could make this same Holland of the century for Fifa

Polishpower: yes, Dudek was in the goal and got a clean sheet (the goal was scored against another foreign keeper). The result was 1-1 and the Dutch goal was scored by John van 't Schip.
By the way, Faas Wilkes only did the kick-off, just telling before you think he's Superman! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

To Goonerbhoy:
Who am I to tell you why Dutch footballers are good? So here's what Cruijff said some days ago about his technical abilities:
"When I was young, I played on the street, so a hard surface. You don't wanna fall then, so you learn how to keep your balance. Then you automaticly improve your technique"
That's what the old master said http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
Apart from that, we here in Holland have not such a competition to attract arrived foreign superstars, so we have to educate players ourself. Ajax' football-school allways brings up good talents (They have a hard time at the moment, but some good players are coming through now, so we must be patient to see Ajax do well again). Because most Dutch teams can't attract arrived foreign players, a lot of young players get chances to play professional football.
Maybe these reasons explain why such a small country generate so much good players.
Please give your reactions about this theory...

I really enjoyed the Holland-of-the-century game too. Especially van Basten, who looked like he could still be the best in Europe in if weren't for this damn injury.
I will make anyone who wants it a Holland-of-the-century patch, but only for Fifa 99. I just don't like Fifa 2000. (So what are you doing in this forum? Well, I like the topics.)

Cheers,

King Kenny.
