This debate had been raging for a while over here in Australia over Harry Kewell.
If the club doesn't release the player straight away the FIFA sanction should be invoked. Piss off O'Leary you wanker if it wasn't for us AUssies you wouldn't have Kewell at all.

I agree 100% with you. Australia really need Kewell, Bosnich and Viduka to succeed on the international stage.
Another instance of Club v Country that pissed me off. (even though i am a united fan) was that bosnich played for man united in the 2 friendly matchs. That is the ultimate treachery...
Also the Brazil vs. Australia matches here (even though they were free) what about the Italian team Internazionale refusing to let Ronaldo play. And once again Dave o'leary refusing to let Kewell play.
