Half-time: Feyenoord 1 v 0 Hearts

Feyenoord goal, a cross is played into the box with an attacker standing clearly 4 yards off-side, the ball comes right towards him but just goes over his head and is met by another attacker rising behind him. So, this first guy is not interfering with play? The ball went right too him, ffs.

The Hearts make a break, play a nice pass into the box to McKenna who is about 2 yards on-side. He shoots and scores. But no goal....no, some Hearts player about 10 yards from the action was running back from an offside position but is deemed to be interfering with play.

Way to go....I think the ref and his assistants are experimenting with just how wrong they can get their decisions. They're doing very well in this experiment, so far.

Yup, Hearts are hard done by. But Feyenoord are much better and deserve to be ahead.

PS I think I just saw that ****face named Denis. Ruins my evening. :(

Tug of the shirt = penalty

Again robbed of a goal scoring chance...

Have we still got Tepi? We need him...and we need McKenna back in defence. An unfair 2-0 now...

2-0 now

oh well, no way back now, especially when the ref is a homer

i think UEFA would do well to use this match in their video presentations to refs about interpreting the off-side rule - this match has 2 perfect examples of how to get it COMPLETELY 100% WRONG

Weir looks great upfront, the best I've seen him. Twice he has outpaced the Feyenoord defence, shame he has no support. McKenna had the chance to make it 2-1 just there as well but...we assumed we were offside again after the first effort was pinged.

Lol! Make that 3 perfect examples...

Hearts are looking good...little scare a minute ago but great save from Gordon and Hammil really should have made it 2-1.

At last...here comes the Red Devil himself, Michael Stewert.

Crap defence...3-0. As soon as Stewert comes in as well...

P.S. Kuyt's second

Well the dutch are a good side, how good are they tonight (i mean hearts) or is it a case of playing great then there defence lets them down. ?

Defence was poor...Pressley said he looked on form but he was pretty awful. First goal was offside as we all know by now...second goal was an awful defensive error, let the guy through easy. Third goal was again the defence and Gordon. Everything could have been prevented if we had Phil Stamp and Mark De Vries playing. A real shame for De Vries, he was hoping to make a point in his semi-homeland but a poisoned toe is the latest injury excuse :(

All in all...I say if things had panned out instead of a surprising poor show by the defence and poor officials, would have been 2-1. Still, 3-0 was very unfair.

We had some great chance other than the goals that went in, and we had some controversy in the goals that went in.

Apart from that controversy, we played well enough, and won. Hopefully we will repeat 2002 with victories.

so how was De Kuip, in the perspective of an away supporter?

EDIT: we sometimes sing You'll Never Walk Alone. I don't think we did for this game, but to make sure, did we?

The Hearts fans who went over made a great noise. We utterly ripped the pish out of your hooligans trying to start sh*t at the seating nearest us (One Michael Bolton, says it all :p) And still singing at 3-0 down as if we were 3-0 up. If only we were like that every game...

I heard you guys sing around 5 times during the entire match, (kick-off, after the goals, injury time) the YNWA song was met with a lot of boos from our end, as it's a Celtic song, and we don't like them too much to put it lightly.

Transport from Centraal station was very good, got talking with a few of your fans along the way, even a "Oh the Ajax are gay" song (H). Tight security to get in the stadium - my ticket was barcoded! :o And the guy who frisked me tried tae cop a feel of my baws - Maybe that's Amstel-induced paranoia, I dunno.

We had to wait around an hour after the game had finished until we were let out. The PA Announcement sounded like a porno line "Thish ish de poleesh, your traanshport ish now arranched"

Had a great time in Holland though - in Amsterdam, Rotterdam (before the Feyenoord boys stormed the pub anyway) and in De Kuip. Let's just say I alone have considerably boosted your alcohol industry. :D
