So.... keepers are unrealistic in WC... I decided to do a test:

well, the CPU scored on me from a blinder on the edge of the area, naturally into the top corner (which incidentally was the first shot of a 2 star team forward :P).... so i checked the replay really carefully.... Well.. after the forward kicking the ball the keeper first started moving when the ball had already reached past half way to the goal. Even my granny has quicker reactions than that ...

So now i shoot with what seems the same power from a similar distance on the CPU... well I checked the replay.. and the CPU keeper started moving IMMEDIATELY after the ball left the foot of the attacker.. so even though the keeper was badly placed, of balance AND the shot was in the perfect top corner and break neck speed.... The keeper saved it.. in fact not only saved it but CAUGHT it.... EASILY!!! (my keeper is unable to catch the ball from a header from the edge of the box :P... and i get scored on rebounds)..

come on EA, now don't be naughty, if u can't make it difficult enough through legit means... than just leave it the way it is... i mean i really don't give two sh*ts how realistic the score line looks on teh fixture list, what i care about is how believable the actualy gameplay is...

There... now i'm done... and peaceful :D

Yeah the CPU keeper skill on Professional is 60 I think. On WC its about 100 if i'm not mistaken, which is really really good. Your keeper on WC is........... 20. ROFL thats like amateur difficulty CPU keeper, and the CPU can shoot really, really good on WC.

What's the point of giving you a kickass keeper on WC in Career Mode out of the box?!

That would yield the Goalkeeper "coach" completely pointless as far as your staff goes. Throw some points at your goalkeeper coach and watch your keeper's ability improve.

The whole point here is people are complaining about playing w/ a second division team to start because they keep on losing against the AI. It's is supposed to be really hard when you first start playing.

You miss the point my friend. People are comparing to the CPU keeper.

No I didn't. People are upset that the CPU keeper isn't directly correlated with their own keeper.

If it was then, World Class wouldn't be nearly as challenging.

The CPU Players have managers who have been with their clubs for a while, and all their "coaching staff" is upgraded. Meanwhile in career mode you're a brand new manager coming into the league with a new coaching staff. Gotta pay you're due to get up there :)

Yes, every CPU club. Realism isnt it!

Has anyone done a "litmus test" in "Play Now" mode on World Class? If the same holds true there, then it's a problem. If not, it's not a big deal, IMO.

of course it does, its not like a special feature for career mode

Beggers can't be choosers. We have to think outside of the box a *LITTLE* at least.

Jesus christ.

If you want realism, get off your arse, go to the park and play a game.

It's a video game, there's always going to be limitations on it's realism.

This has to be one of the STUPIDEST comments someone can ever make.... football is a part of my soul and i play competitive football all the time... but when i'm playing a 'FOOTBALL' video game.. note.. a 'FOOTBALL' videogame i expect it to be like football... and these issues cause it to be the absolute antithesis to football because EA treats it like a simple videogame, and in aiming it to be more difficult they make changes which simply destroy the dynamics of the game its trying to emulate....

Now the insanely difficult final boss' in games like DOOM and Quake make sense, why because they're not trying to emulate a real life thing, their aim is to make the game harder....

However, if you're playing rainbow six which emulates real life, u expect it to get harder by better enemy team dynamics, numbers and such... NOT by the final leader being able to take 10 million bullet hits, and being able to move at supersonic speeds. This is the equivalent of what FIFA has done to goal keepers in World Class

what is a litmus test, (in relation to the fifa series, or any other PC game)?

"what is a litmus test"

just a chemical test to check the acidity of things... its being used as a metaphor... , an empirical test i.e. one based on facts rather than surmise

NOTE A VIDEO GAME.

Surmise is just another word for hypothesis. Its a statement made without facts.
