Betting is hobby i think and one of my hobbie is betting:mrpimp:
it's enjoying when you bet on your team and then watch the match.. For example on Wednesday there is a match between Lyon-Fenerbahce..Lyon's odd is 1.5..If you bet 20$ to Lyon you will win 10$ if Lyon win and your total money will be 30$..I will bet on Lyon(H)

In it's simplest terms, it's when you stake something of yours (usually money) on an undetermined outcome.

As explained earlier, you get odds. Odds of 5:1 mean that for every pound you bet on the result you predict, if you are right, you will win £5 (although often you get your stake money back so it is £6).

Basically when there is something with more than one outcome, you predict which outcome will happen.

Or you can get even odds if the casino evens the playing field, so if Real Madrid played Boston United, the line might be Real Madrid -6 vs. Boston.

Meaning you have to subtract 6 goals from Real Madrid's total for the outcome of your bet. If you bet on Real Madrid and they win 5-0, you lose, if they win 7-0, you win, and if they win 6-0 it's a push (you get your money back). Usually casinos take out a small stake from everyone, so if you wager $10 on Real Madrid, you won't win $10, but probably around $9.52. That's the casino's cut.
