Well here is your chance to show off if you have the game already. Or tell us your excuse why you haven't got it yet.

Here's my excuse:
So I go to my local games store here in Amsterdam. Thinking finally the boring days are over. Well obviously they aren't cause when I got there they sayd it will not be available until the weekend if not on monday. Damn I don't know if I can wait another weekend.

:f***:

Thx Cody but the Mediamarkt is near the Arena and since that's about 8 metro stations away from here it is a hell of a distance. Maybe I'll try them tommorow if I have time.

Damn what a week this is first Ajax loses then FM isn't on time and now I got lots of homework to do. w00000t live sucks :crazyboy:

Im playing this game for 2 hours now, and I know one thing almost for sure: Im taking this game back to the shop tomorrow or saturday, what a ****ty game, it is soooooooooooo slow, they said it would be 40% faster, well, my ass, this game on normal database is at least 200% slower than CM03/04 on large database.

FM sucks IMO(N)(N)

I'm in 2009. I'm playing with 3 leagues, France, England and Brazil. Normal database. (No, I have a life, I went on holiday till august 2008 (H))

There seems to be no good players :| The only good players are the players who were already good and expensive in the beginning of the game.... The whole "unkown-talents turning into stars" thing seems to be almost gone. Does anyone else have that problem...

 They probably dont turn into stars if you go on holiday. On the Gold Demo I was finding loads of unknown players with awesome stats, and the ones I signed were superb. The very best I couldnt get work permits for though :( I hope they havent f*cked around with the stats for the real game.

You can order the game from some British sites, like www.gameplay.co.uk, but you'd be getting FM 2005, not WSM 2005. (No real difference, just the name)

Why would it make any difference whatsoever if I'm on holiday or not? They're not on my team, they should be developing somewhere else. I have no effect on them either way.

i would say that that is recommended for 1 league on minimum database....... another 256 would probably be needed to run this game at least :S

Yeah but they need to be played to be developed and probably when your on holiday the games are just played with the most standard teams.

Well this players will be stars: Jesus Navas, Diego Capel, Sergio Ramos.
They're all under 18 and play for Sevilla.

Sir Calumn

Just got my FM, disappointed so far but mostly because i`m too used to the CM interface but that hopefully will change. Also is very slow for me aswell & not much faster than cm 03/04. Was running slow on just 1 league on medium database on my athlon 2800 with 1024 mb ram.

i was thinking about this, can i assume that an English CD will work on a american cd-rom or dvd drive?
and would you have any idea on how long it would take to arrive from the UK? thanks

Yeah it will work on an american cd/dvd drive. Not to sure how long it would take but i ordered a dvd from America last month and it only took 10 days & longest i`ve ever waited is 3 weeks so thats a rough estimate.

I recently got the game and it's a little hard to get used to the new inferface. What I really like about FM is the improvement in the speed of the game, in CM 03-04 I had two leagues w/ large database running and it was OK and now I have 13 leagues w/ large database and it's running at the same speed :)

The only thing that has me worried is that before the season some teams made offers for a couple of my players but my team kept rejecting them without even asking me!! Anybody else having this problem? :(

You have something wrong with your PC then that should be quite fast. Do you mean 1 nation with all divisions or just 1 league, eg just Premier league?

Have you tried changing the speed option things, fastest will be the fastest but you can't do anything while it processes matches, slowest lets interupt easily and do stuff while it processes.

Yeah i thought it was a bit wrong that i was getting such slow speeds, i`m playing in the spain with only the La Liga and its dragging in.

The only thing i can think of is that my pc hasn`t been shutting down through Windows recently and it crashes when i try to shut it down so i have to shut down through my off button, any connection with slow processing speeds??

Well thats usually a sign that something is wrong. Maybe try running Spybot + Ad-aware and a virus scanning. Try defragging your system aswell. Also use a program like "RegCleaner" to clean your registry. Basically just clear up your computer as much as you can using these programs and maybe others.
