I heard that Passing is the accuracy of your passes, and Cross Ball affects how effective or "dangerous" your long passes (long balls) are. Hmm. Then someone said Passing also affects short AND long passes. I'm trying to make a strategy that uses the wings, because I find my opposition usually have a poor defense that doesn't cover the flanks. Any tips? Here is my rough draft of a 3-4-3 using wide forwards.

The reason I place my wide forwards so back is because they have low shooting, their job is to act as wingers and cross for my center striker.

cross balls effect long balls yes,

ummm if u play a wide game, if u do come across a team that plays straight down the center then your going to be ripped to shreds, not many teams have implemented a successful wide formation.

good luck.

This is the formation that most of my opponents use. Its also the one that defeated me in the large Cup game I talked about a week ago. 1024 participants, I got into the final 16.. ;)

It's a 5-4-1 with a rather strong midfield, it was a close match with both of us having 9 scoring chances, but I lost 0-2 because his midfield was really good and I couldn't get the ball into the final third. His defense is rather weak (in value). My defense was pretty good, so I figured if my defense got the ball they could send it down the flank where theres open space.

I agree though, wide tactics get ripped by attacks through the middle but I have no choice, his team > mine ;)

BTW, could you explain what Passing does? Does it affect short passes only?

Now I think, that this tactic is vety good, I've been using it for a long time and my team managed to win with much more valuable teams (yep, Sweden). I don't want to describe it and it's advantages in points, sort it out :P .

Wow, now I'm totally stunned. What a fascinating conclusion that was! Everyone knows it. I put a " :P ", to assure that it was an irony. Who might ever be stunned with such an obvious tactic, anyway?! I just wanted to know what do You think about that tactic, advantages, disadavntages etc.

Think one striker is a problem unless he is amazing

It's 4-3-3 but find that the three attackers do better playing one behind (My star) plus two fairly central regular strikers.

Had trouble playing wide forwards.

This formation kicked butt in Div2 but now I'm in Div1 the standard of my players is just too low to compete. Won't be long though :hump:

Whats your team name? And do your LW/RW participate much in the game... many people say stick to a narrow formation. Hmm.

Currently it's FC Imagilona, but I'm looking for a new name.

Well, about their participation: Most of the time they get more than 10 passes in the game, few tackles and shots (it has to depend on the type of the player, cause for example one of my new wingers shots 1-2 times a match, while the former one used to get 5-6!). I don't have any analysers or Live3d stuff, so all I can abase my thoughts on are match statistics... Check my team out, maybe You'll get to know what You want to...

P.S.

In last league match I changed my tactic, so don't mind it...

Can anyone suggest an effective variation of the 4-4-2 formation to me?.

FC Imagilona, do your wingers have high passing? is that their main skill?
