mate ive played em all, even Kevin Keegans player manager back in t'day.

But i can rest quite safely in saying that Football Manager 2005 is the best football manager sim there ever has been.

TCM is good if you want a bit of a more relaxed, less realistic management sim

all the others are poo.

TCM or FM.

FM05 is the best. I tried TCM2005, but 2004 is far better. FM05 is better still (Y)

sure Fm, and prvious Cm saga, are the best.

I also used to play PCfutbol some years ago. I think it was only released in Spain, south america and Italy (called PC Calcio there). It was a very entertaining one.

Best footy manager sim i've ever played. I've had to make a few tweaks with the editor but so far so good.

If you can't stand the fact you loose you should try TCM '05

If you want more realism. More options and detail from the real management world you should try FM 05

I will get FM 2005 today...if everythings goes alright(they said that it would get here to the island of Terceira today...sunday? hope so...)

The best sim for me before playing Fm 2005 was Cm 3. It was a revolution in the time it came out. Followed by TCM 2004.

Definitely FM 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111oneone

I'm not even going to try TCM. I only use match commentary for CM and FM, 2d match engine ONLY when testing a tactic. I am a sim addict.

Haven't tried FM, like the old CM versions...

I also really like SAAP, it's an indie game with no 'spreadsheets', you have to talk to the coaches and such to figure out the attributes of the players and it's really hard to 'run the table' and such.

The real difference between fm/cm and tcm, you can look at it this way ...

TCM is for the ordinary football-fan, just having fun scoring goals and winning cups and leagues... It's more graphic, so that it can give it's player the satisfaction of seeing eg. the goals being scored in a "realistic" way... The developers haven't spent months of researching to find out the real youth-players around the world, or even the real manager names, cause all that matters to the tcm-gamers is the players and the visual ... And that's perfect!!

FM/CM is for the more hardcore football-fan, who like figures and numbers, not caring if you win by 11-0 or 1-0 but more if it were your fault or the team would have done it anyway... You like following the young talents, testing far-out strategies and finding new hot prospects ... And that's perfect too ...

Oh, and by the way ... I am a big fan of both games, although leaning a bit towards FM ...

I agree perfectly, I like FM (well the demo) because of the work that has gone into the leagues and player databases... I haven't played TCM at all so I can't comment, but the screenies look nicer than FM's for sure.

I really like this indie game Sick as a Parrot though, because you're focused on nothing but trying to find the right formation for your players... FM can be too easy at times and SAAP really makes you think about where players should be playing since you can't see any of their stats, there's very few numbers in the game and you have to base your selections on who is training well more than who has the best attributes.

I've yet to get FM, but it sure does look like it will be one of the best management games ever, if not the best.
