I'm sorry to announce that the trade bug is still existant in FM 2005. Here's how it works: Javier Mascherano is worth 4.4 mil, and I do an enquiry. River wants 12.5 mil for him. So I offer 8 mil plus Kleberson, who's worth 8 mil. They decline. So I do a test and remove Kleb, up the cash to 9 mil....... they accept.

In real life there's no way they would take 1 extra mil over a reputable player worth 8 mil who plays in the same position.

So working out extensive deals with multiple clauses and player exchanges are still buggy.....

However, the monthly installment plan seems to work okay, the total amount is correctly considered and roughly nets the same response as cash up front.

Depends on the wage budget. I can think Kléberson will ask 10x higher wages than Mascherano is being paid.

:| 35x actually... Mascherano has only a measly 1.1k, Kleb is 37k. I thought wages were considered after the deal is accepted, didn't realize AI clubs think in advance!

Good to hear the montly installments works fine now. In the demo it didn't work as monthly installments was paid immediatly.

They maybe realise that its useless to try to get the player as Kleberson wont want to come to River.
