in the last issue of pczone they said they would have a pes4 review and demo in their next issue which goes on sale this thursday(nov 11),so get it thursday everyone.im predicting a 85-95% review as they said in last months preview that if the game had online play it'd be perfect.

Magazines can't be trusted when they say these things though.

150+last year pes3 demo had about 230 mb so this year it can be even bigger

I think torrent would be the best solution (for those who aren't living in UK and can't buy it), coz normal ftp has this rule: more leechers, less download speed
torrent has: more leechers, more download speed because of more download/upload sources

That's the site of the dutch PC Zone, PES 4 is mentioned in that issue but not anything special. This issue came out three weeks ago and there was no demo of PES 4 on the disks.

The guys @ evo web are talking about the UK mag.

Ok, assuming the demo is on the mag tomorrow, how do I make a torrent file.

search @ web for ' make a torrent ' . I also think that in suprnova you can make it. there is a few programs to do it.

There is a 2page review in which it gets 89% citing the fact that there is no online play and the fact they don't like throw ins, for reasons to give it a lower score than PES3.
All in all they like the game and play it instead of PES3, but above everything there is NO demo on the magazine. :(

I think it's very unlikely this demo will appear on a mag before it's online. Someone will leak it the moment it becomes available, and that will come from either Konami or someone in the know (like Fish).

That's what I thought too, but when it gives the summary at the end of the review with good and bad points, this was one of the bad ones as it said "no online play"
I'm confused now as what to believe. I hope they just reviewed a beta version without this in.

That review score doesn't really make sense.

No online play, and poor throw ins. If that's all that's wrong with the game then i don't quite see how it can get a worse score than last time.

Besides the fact that there is probably a way round the online play feature via an IP>IP patch, I'm assuming all other aspects of the game have been improved upon. So therefore how exactly do they deem the game worse by virtue of one little thing, especially when they say they would play it over PES3??!! Idiots. PC Format is a pretty naff mag anyway IMO. It wouldn't surprise me if they reviewed a beta version of the game - they have certainly done this with other games (and have even reviewed demos as full games apparently!)

The official announce came 2 days ago so they just had a beta version not Final.

Anyway the main point was the fact that I was telling everyone, NO demo so they didnt have their hopes up for tomorrow when it goes on the shelves!

Yes. Konami are noobs in the games industry. They made their first football game in 1992. They were founded in 1969 in one way or another.

While they may not have their marketing for the west down quite right, they are far from noobs. ;)

Calling Konami noobs is like calling Nintendo noobs just because the GC hasn't done as well as the Xbox. History within the games industry means nothing when you have a pack of rabid PES fans on your tail. ;)

The demo of PES4 will be released when it's released. If you really think Konami are that bad at marketing, then you're lucky that you're getting a demo version of the game at all. They didn't have to make one. The reason they do is a demo to market (hence marketing the game so more people will by it.

I'm really excited by the prospect of PES4 on the PC (mainly for editing purposes I guess) too, but name-calling never got anyone anywhere.

yea my friends still ask me whats that when i tell em im playing pes3 but they all know of fifa... im guessing cause fifa is the north american thing..

It's not that Konami is that bad at marketing, but they just can't compete with the shear weight of cash that EA plow into the marketing campaigns of their games. No-one can compete with that. The licensing issue is also a big bonus to EA.

they made a choice:
instead of puming cash into advertising game, they pumpin' it into same game, it was good choice for everybody I think

Great review in Pc Zone,on the back page it says that the demo will be avail on the coverdisk in December. A bit too late.....

what do they say about pes4? they say that theres no online mode and i think they havent tested final game...or simply a ps2 game. :kader:
