Manchester Utd hasn't really been showing off so far this season! Will they loose their status as the best team in the world or will they defend their ChampionsLeague title?
To do as good as last year they should play a different style i think. Maybe like this:
GK:Bosnich
SW:Stam
Def:Neville Neville
DefMid:Butt Keane
Wingers:Beckham Blomqvist
AttMid:Giggs
Strikers:Cole Yorke

For this to work they need Jesper Blomqvist to play the way he did in Parma and IFK Gothenburgh, there he was magnificent with the ball but in United he hasn't made many dribbles at all.
As you might have noticed Paulie"Scotskilla'"Scholes isn't included.
He isn't that good! 2 goals against Scotland(tough luck Scotsmen) and a red card against Sweden(Nasty tackle against Hakan Mild, Mild had a big hole in his thigh after it).

My question is: Will Man U win any titles this year?

Are you crazy??????

Scholes is the best player of Manchester United, got the real skill.

And Beckham only kicks, but hasn't any class.

I hope Man U loses, and as for Scholes, he should play for a quality team like Arsenal or in a quality league like the Serie A.

why would scholes want to play for arsenal when he is already playing in the best team in england. You people talk about arsenal,as if they rule.Just compair their record with Man.utd STUPID.As for Beckham,if he didnīt have class he would not be on the list of best players.Do you know anyone who can cross the ball better then he can?IF united don`t win this year soooooo what let arsenal try to win the same in one season.

First of all, the Sweeper system has no place in English football, never has, never will. The pace and type of game would not allow it. Second, if you did have a sweeper, you could not have two defensive midfielders, wouldn't work. Third Scholes is a tremendous player, perfect behind the strikers( Villa Park last year, Liverpool @ Old Trafford to name a few times). Blomqvist is an odd one, one minute he is great, the next he is a class below, he had by my count 2 really fantastic games last seasom, ones vs Brondby in Denmark and Everton at Goodison, he played great. Scholes is a bad tackler but that is just something he need work on, other than that, he is a great player week in week out.

Beckham is a great player but not as great as many people think. As for his freekicks, Mihajlovic and Roberto Carlos are much better!

Scholes is a very bubbly lookin' fella, don't you think? Sorry for attacking his looks but i think so.

I used the 3def. system to get five mid's.
And the 2 def.mid's are supposed to fall back beetween Stam and the wingbacks when defending.

Now i have 2 more questions for you:
1.Will Bosnich ever fill the Schmeichel-gap?
2.Who is/are the best player/s in Utd?
(I think Yorke and Cole because of their spectacular style, i love them bicyclekicks!)

I've notices that none of you mention the intercontinental match between Man U. and Palmeiras (Brazil) tomorrow (tuesday).
Is this match not a big deal in Europe? For what I know, it's supposed to be the most important match in the whole world that unites the champion's league winner and the Copa Libertadores winner, which will decide what team is on top of everyone in this year.
I guess it doesn't mean more than the FA premier league title for you guys, or the champion's league title. After all, you just have to win the champion's league to have access to this match in Tokio.
Any of you know at what time this game is going to be on? Please give the time in GMT
Thanks in advance.

Thanks gooner,
Not that I have anything against Man U. but I think Palmeiras is going to beat them 2-0.
Remember, Asprilla will play for Palmeiras and on top of that, there's really good midfielders and strikers. And as I south american, I've got to support them.
Al ritmo de samba! gooooooooooool!!

I don't think anyone here in England cares about the match, it's just a glorified friendly, it doesn't count in the league and it doesn't count in Europe so where does it matter? No where around here, I can tell you who won every European cup but I could name the team who won this thing three years ago. So to answer your question, no it's not a big deal.

I don't think they even show the results on tele-text in any european country! That's how important this match is us euro's...
