Hi every1...

I was wondering what is the impact of you being friendly or not with other managers ...

The only thing i noticed is that, some of yours players react to what is said about you and your team ... but i didn't see anything more than that ...

Any more issues about this !?

You being liked by other managers improves the morale in the team, but it's not a long term effect. If you make bogus statements, you get unhappy players, which IS a long term effect.

I have yet to see it confirmed that talking crap about another manager will raise their team spirit, having them play better against your team. Not sure there, but it should be that way.

being friendly with managers works the same way as it does in real life, the manager is likely to praise you in the future which WILL have a long term affect because it will raise your reputation in the players and medias eyes. Theres far too much to even write in a post about what kind of long term effects there could be with the right combination of factors.

Well, the Atalanta manager said I am a good coach and I said I disliked him, the next match (Atalanta-Inter) they totally overran me, they seemed much more motivated and they won 1-0, so I think it has some effects.

I love the way they advertised an 'enhanced and varied media system' when all you can do it bitch about other managers or praise them, which has next to no effect on the game that I can see. Some player's do get that little 'PR' thing, but it really doesnt seem to affect their game.

yeah, still lots of improvement needd to make it real. And the press could help a lot a manager getting fired or not, the club owners should also be able to force u buy or not players (or even seelll players they dont like)

nah ive seen the some of the SOAK tests up close and personal from the SI boys, it does indeed have effect if used properlly, future transfers, future matches, future relations with players.

sorry but this is the one thing im gonna defend SI over, it DOES do it too often but it DOES work very well and realistically.

Of course the reason some (infact quite a lot) of stuff couldnt be put into the media engine is ye old legal issues.

'Manager Mind Games' - what a farcical name that is.

"Ohhh, I'm going to get into your mind by saying that I dont think your team will win"
"You bastard! I give up - I forfiet the game and amd going to kill myself."

I dont know why SI bother trying to 'enhance the media' - whatever they do to it, it always sucks.

I dont even bother with it. I got my media-handling attribute to 20 in a month, wow, lots of skill involved there.

god calumn, you sometimes say some dumb stuff :p Since when did the media handling thing count for anything? its about how managers remember what you've said.

Anyway looks like im outnumbered here, but as usual (and i suppose not quitting while i was behind actually got me demodded) im not stopping. lol

The media engine IS good in FM05.

I am friends with Kevin Keegan (H)

The effects are quite good, I keep beating Man Utd, and after every match I tell AF that i dislike him and I outclassed him tactically (H)

The best thing is when they make questions about "David vs. Goliath match", I think it's a bit strange thing of the media.

When I, Danubio, faced Plaza Colonia (Note: First Match of the Closing Stage, I was champion at Open Stage and they came 17 out of 18 teams), I said "There's no way I'll not win", or something similar, and yes, I won 2-1, after losing 0-1, scoring the two goals after 80 mins >.>

But when I faced Miramar Misiones (Note: They're 3rd at that moment, with 4 or 5 weeks to finish, and this match was before the match I comment above), I chose "It's not hard as the media think it is" something like that, the last option I guess, and trash'em 6-0

It's just my luck, or it could be that my replies to the media did that?
