yes, you're tottally wrong, it isnt a CM game, its called Football Manager for a reason, at the top of this screen press Management games - you'll see its there.

Oh, and you are cheating if you're loading up the game 12 times to play one match, personally i think i speak for most people in saying that is plain sad, go play a proper game and maybe you'll get some proper advice.

I wasn't going to ask for cheat codes. Maybe it is sad to keep trying but it's also infuriating to be beaten by a stupid computer!

It's quite frustrating to lose the CL Final(Ask my CM 03/04 cover) but you're a very bad loser if you try twelve attempts. IRL managers can't say oh well I quit and try the match again.

Go play TCM if you can't stand losing.

sorry but ive never reloaded once in CM, if you didnt win then its obvious you arnt good enough, be it your squad, tactics, training, whatever.

Live with it and try again next season with a revamped look.

Speaking of Arsenal, I'm actually just playing them with Juve in the CL final in my first season....I'm up 2-0 after two goals by Del Piero. (H)

I played a simple 442 against Arse, and still hammered them (H)

Bah i AM the arse and I reached a personal target of scoring 107 goals in one season :D

I havn't lost to Arsenal yet, (4 meetings) just get Gerrard and Alonso down centre midfield.

The key to defeating Arsenal (IMO) is to put down their wingers. What I did was I set my two fullbacks to defensive mentality (originally they were attacking and provided crosses). Also I set Rio Ferdinand to man mark Henry and that kept him quiet. Reyes finishing is quite bad :D This is how I beat them 3-0 twice in both CL legs. My Man Utd formation:

Arsenal are damn hard to beat - I've played them six times now (in different matches) and only won once (drew 3, lost 2). I usually go all out attacking, trying for an early goal, then immediately revert to defensive and try to weather the storm, but they nearly always sneak one back before the end. Strangely, I find I beat Man Utd a lot easier but they tend to do alot better in the league.

And jackie, the game's gonna get real boring if you replay every match til you win. You'll find it far more rewarding to do it legit.

i hadnt won the league and i somehow didnt want the board/fans to have high expectations for next season (was playing with small club not much money etc) Only reason why i wanted that.

My team is Chelsea. Using Terry to fix Henry, that's done.

I think a large number of world class teams can beat them.

I used to do the save game trick sometimes in CM 01/02 :( only when I lost big to rivals, like by 3+ goals :p

seriously... i really hate when we can conquer the whole game all da time... sometimes i can av abt 35 shots a match...it's damn unrealistic...:(

i play with real madrid & won easily vs depor 5-0

vs Basel for CL qualifiers... 8-0 & 4-2 & the agregate is 12-2 :o

............but now i play with norwich to get some new challenge

They made topteams far better compared to lower teams than they did in previous Cm. Playing with a big team is easier, but starting with a little team is more challenging.(Y)

In order to beat them you have to change SOMETHING! No, I am not trying to be funny, but rather then just loading the game up 12 times, play a different way until you beat them. Change your tactics, your style of play, etc, etc, based on how Arsenal played the match before.

i was going to say, i thought i read this thread a couple of months back

My Aston Villa side in my previous game only lost 1 or 2 in 8 matches against Arsenal. You need to have a strong midfield and defence as well as good goalscorers to even draw Arsenal.
