It should be a tough match.Especially with the Madrid game coming up.That's the reason why I'm not too confident of this match. We should be resting some players and Belletti is injured, so...
Ronaldinho will probably be out, too.
As I said in the Barca thread, I think it was the Betis match last year when he picked up an injury and missed the Madrid game at Camp Nou.That happening twice in two years would really suck.

I wanna see

----------------------Valdes

Damia--------Puyol------Oleguer-----Gio

--------------------Marquez

-------------Deco------------Xavi

Giuly-------------------------------Larsson

------------------Eto'o

Damia because Belletti is definitely out, as said before.
Larsson because I hope Ronaldinho isn't risked.
And I think the duo Deco - Xavi shouldn't play the whole match. They have played a lot this season and I'd want to see them rested a bit for the upcoming clasico.I'd even rest Xavi for the whole game and put Iniesta, maybe Gerard.

Betis - Barcelona 1:2
Whoever ---- Eto'o, Xavi

The official site says that Ronaldinho has been given the all clear to play against Betis and he's travelled with the team.It also says that Rijkaard has ruled out the option of saving him for Real M.
I just hope he doesn't get injured.

Also, Damia most probably won't play as Sylvinho has also recovered and will take up Belletti's position.
:rockman:

I've read Damia's full name on the official site once, but I've forgotten it.He's Barca B.

Betis to win. Alex Tseng is wearing the Barça shirt at ESPN Brasil (every shirt this guy wears, the team loses, like Juve last week to Reggina). Let's see if the curse goes on. Barça are favorites to win though.

He had a knee operation last summer and has been out i think he's recovering now and should come back when he's fit.

Barcelona has the possesion, but arent creating much chances. Betis takes every chance they get :).

great chance for Betis. Joaquin shoots and Valdes with a great reaction.
Ronaldinho had two great headers, but the goalkeeper was always on the right spot.

It isn't going too well.We are dominating but we can't create a serious opportunity.Ronaldinho's two headers weren't much of a chance since he isn't great at heading...

I hope we start playing our football in the second half.

exactly my thoughts, the possesion numbers have been a bit absurd through the half time, Barcelona having 72% of it, but they didnt show much for it. Lets hope it continues like this, so Real catches up a bit :).

Betis is attacking like crazy in the second half.

Betis-Barcelona 1-0.

edit: betis has shown more in 5 minutes of the second half than in the first 45. Barcelona seems lost, and Betis is owning them at the moment. Keep it up Betis! :)

Update :).
Betis is playing excellent, and Barcelona have been the complete opposite of what i expected. I thought the second half will be owned by Barcelona, but apart from the goal, Valdes made 2 saves in 100% chances, and it doesnt seem as barca is picking up...

We played very bad until the game was 2-0. I liked the attitude after the second goal and I'm sure they'll play that way the next week since the first minute.

We had to lose some day..

this has to be one of the greatest football nights ever!! first Madrid totally destroy Albacete with 6-1! and then Barcelona loose to Betis!!

were now only 4 pts behind Barca!!

JOAQUIN! what a player. i would love to see him in Madrid next season. not on Figo's behalf though.

I managed to watch most of the game, couldnt at the start because of Dream Team (H) but from what I saw Betis werent bad but Barca had a few chances, Ronaldinho showing some beautiful skill. Yeah like someone said, the attitude of the players after the second goal was good, especially Ronaldinho, encouraging the players.

Oh well, the undefeated streak lasted a good while :)

Bring on the derby for Barca fans eh :)

Oh btw, why did Valencia sell Oliveira out of curiousity? I've known him for a while and he's a class player, also, what brazilian team does he play for? U21 or?

Thanks :)

It sucks to lose like this. The second Betis goal was really stupid but they deserved the win. They are a great team.I can't see why they are only 10th now (with the three pts from tonight).
Like DT said, the attitide was good after the second goal.Especially Ronaldinho's and Gerard's.
I regret that Larsson didn't play from the start. He helped a lot.
Giuly hasn't been himself since the injury and I really hope Larsson plays instead of him against Real Madrid.
And I hope even more that Belletti recovers.Damia has been the weakest player in Barcelona tonight IMO.He lacks determination and doesn't know what to do with the ball when he gets it.

This is the first time in my life that I saw a goal that was Puyol's fault. But I don't blame him.He played awesome tonight apart from that one mistake.Iniesta did nothing and I was pleased with Ronaldinho.Eto'o rocks as well.Unlike the Milan match at San Siro, tonight's defeat couldn't be helped. We dominated, played good and still lost.Oh well...

Betis totally owned us in the beginning of the second half.

The Madrid match is gonna be great.I can't believe that they could break our advantage to only 1 point if they beat us.

This defeat will be a boost.

Was a great game to watch. I really thought that Barca would come back but I guess it wasn't to be. Some stunning play by Ronaldinho but it's a shame they couldn't finish off the perfect chances they had.

I guess overall it's a great day for Real who are now only 4 points back.

Next weeks game will be HUGE.

yeah good point [datboy]...arsenal is the perfect example...they went from being the best club in the world for months....to just being one of the top teams the epl...lets hope barca brings out their "A" game...i hope rafa marquez has a good game....but since i'm a madrid fan i see madrid winning with ease (3-1)....and hopefully they'll be 1 point behind in la liga.
