I hate them. They ruin the shirt, and in some cases, I can hardly make out the players name and number. And then there are the clubs (usually Mexican) that insist on having more sponsors than a Formula 1 race car. Now this insanity has crept over to England. Look at S'thorpe (you know who I'm talkin about) and Southend, the latter having the balls to put their second sponsor on the back, ABOVE the player's name and number. Yes, I know the clubs need the money, but FFS, why can't all clubs have one sponsor, on the chest, just like in European competition?

for the exact reason you mentioned... they need the money.

And its not all Mexican clubs. Its mostly those facing relegation. Most of the top teams have 2 sponsors and a few really small sponors.

And you're probably talking about jerseys like this...

that's horrible :kader:

it would be better if they do something like Juve or Porto: a different sponsor for each competition.

Bimbo is a Mexican bakery that makes bread and snack cakes, if memory serves me right. Some of their products are sold in the border states. So therefore, don't make fun of them just because the name of the company means something different in another language.

Your not actually allowed more than one sponser on a shirt in England. Thats a ruling from the FA. My little brothers team had two companies wanting to sponser them so they put on of the sponders on the shorts

I watched the Southend-Luton Town FA Cup match last Friday and sure as sh*t, Southend had a second shirt sponsor, on the back, above the player's name and number. I'm not sure if the match was broadcast in England tho, because I was watching a world feed broadcast meant for the international market.

Are you sure it wasn't something to do with the kit. Theres very little space for anything above the players name.

(trying to find decent picture of the kit)
