I took my screen res:- down from 1280 x 1024 to 800 x 600 and MED graphics at to tell you the truth I never seen that much difference between the two settings..

though I thought the game ran a little slower???? might just have been that sort of game...

but even at 1280 x 1024 Med setting the game ran smoothly anyway ... I'll give it another go ..

but that bouncing ball is starting to get to me, now I don't mind shot deflecting or at times coming off players, it does look good when you run up behind a player on the ball and knock it away (well thats what it looks like ) but at times its like a Pin Ball.

And thats not with crunching tackle or hitting the ball hard against a player, you only need to run or more like walk face to face into a cpu player on the ball and it shoots skywards ..

As I have said before , nice idea and at the right times and in the right place it adds to the game and looks good..

But if you (konami) can't program it to be a random event other than shots hitting a player then, I think that the few good parts where the deflections look good and add to the game are outweighed by it happening all over the pitch time and time again coming off players right left and centre.

You get 3 or 4 players including the cpu player on the ball all coming together, the ball goes into fast forward Pinball Wizard type physics.

A great idea , but only other than shots coming off players! Not at every tackle or players walking into each other...

i don't get this, i've noticed in the demo that sometimes players have problems controlling the ball, is this what you mean? everybody has been complaining

I'd say I have problems controlling ball because of stupidly fast gameplay speed. I'm not pro CS player so my reaction isn't any good, but in Pes4 demo you have to, because everything is happening so quick I don't have enough time to realise it. I often loose ball because my push of button was waaay too late, the ball is already at the other end.:kader:

Gnid,

I don't really get the same hyper-speed game that you seem to be describing. It may well to be to do with different PC specs and perhaps even your version of Windows.

The game plays at a really nice speed on my PC, a little bit slower than the PS2 version (which I found to be fine speed-wise anyway). Can you post a short vid so we can see how fast your's is?

Also not really having a problem with bouncing balls, Tic...maybe it's because I'm so used to the PES4 gameplay on ps2 that i don't notice it any more.

btw, what controllers are you guys using? i'm using a thrustmaster dual analogue but the LAS is not good at finding diagonals (keeps switchin to 90 degrees) so i may have to go get oone of these ps2 controller converters

Yeah. It seems lots of pple are saying about the bouncing ball. I personally do see anything wrong with the ball physics. EVen the first time I played PES4 on the PS2.
