I have 2 Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumble Pads, I use the left analog stick for player movement, my son is used to using to Dpad.

I am used to them as I hav played PES3 all year with them, i had a go at PES4 on the PS2 and I just couldn't get used to the PS2 game pads to small

I play my PES3 games with Microsoft Sidewinder. I dont have the analog stuff but still, it works. Probably gonna do the trick for PES4, if it doesnt i'll buy an adaptor and use my PSOne dual-shocks as they worked well on my friend's PS2.

Logitech Rumblepad 2 has been working perfect so far.

Had one of the original Logitech Dual action pads, worked for about a week then the left stick stopped calibrating properly (ALOT of people had the same problem)

Just get a convertor froma reputable shop near you. It's worth it. Cause if someone ask you to play PES4 on the ps2 u won't have any problems getting used to it. ;)
For me I got a convertor and it works fine. I use it to play games like WE 2002, PES4....etc. But plays most of my PES4 on the PS2.

logitech rumble pad 2: looks just like the dual action pad only got vibrating motor and better grip and it doesnt keep needing to be calibrated.....

I would have to say its the one made by Saitek. Very responsive and comfy too.
