Leverkusen haven't won an away game since April, neither CL nor league.
Besides that they're only 12th in the league and got their ass kicked by Schalke on the weekend.
Easy win for Real.

Real face nerve-racking showdown
Real Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen
MADRID, Nov 22 (Reuters) - After morale-sapping defeats at the weekend Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen go head-to-head in the Champions League on Tuesday knowing that another slip-up could spell the end of their hopes of making the next round.
Real were dealt a humbling 3-0 defeat by arch-rivals Barcelona at the Nou Camp, while Leverkusen lost their first home match of the season when they went down by the same scoreline against Schalke 04.
With the two sides and Dynamo Kiev all tied on seven points in Group B, the complicated mathematics mean that a win for Real would put them through, but defeat at the Bernabeu would leave them at the mercy of other two sides who play each other in the final round of matches.
Real have been in disappointing form throughout the season and after Saturday's loss to Barca the talk in the Spanish media is that the team are in terminal decline.
But midfielder David Beckham, who was criticised for his anonymous performance at the Nou Camp, believes a win against Leverkusen will end talk of a crisis at the club.
'I don't think it's the end of any cycle I just thing it's was a bad result for us and we have to move on,' the England captain said.
'We need to get back to winning games and playing good football and we all know that Tuesday's match is a massive game for us. If we win everyone will be happy again.'
Beckham hinted that that he is still not match fit after his six-week injury lay-off and coach Mariano Garcia Remon could choose to drop Raul back into midfield and bring in Michael Owen up front in order to go for the win that would see Real through.
Raul goes into the match needing just one goal to equal the all-time European Cup scoring record of former Real great Alfredo Di Stefano whose record of 49 European goals has stood for just over 40 years.
He has also scored against Bayer before, most memorably in the 2002 Champions League final which Real won 2-1 in Glasgow.
Centre-back Ivan Helguera faces a late fitness test to see if he has recovered from the knee problems that kept him out of the Barca game, but right winger Luis Figo looks set to play despite some pain in his ankle.
Leverkusen, who slipped to 11th in the Bundesliga standings, after their defeat at home to Schalke 04, should welcome back skipper Jens Nowotny, who missed the game because of a minor stomach problem.
The Germans crushed Real 3-0 when they met at the BayArena in the opening group match in September and coach Klaus Augenthaler is optimistic that they can repeat that sort of performance in the return at the Bernabeu.
'We have another chance against Real and we must take it,' said coach Klaus Augenthaler. 'No one gives us much of a chance but we know we've always been a good side.'
Hanno Balitsch was also left out against Schalke, with Bernd Schneider preferred in the right wing-back slot. Augenthaler is set to reinstall Balitsch on the right of midfield and give Juan the right-sided defender's role against Real.
Probable teams:
Real Madrid: 1-Iker Casillas; 2-Michel Salgado, 19-Walter Samuel, 22-Francisco Pavon or 6-Ivan Helguera, 3-Roberto Carlos; 10-Luis Figo, 14-Guti, 23-David Beckham or 11-Michael Owen, 5-Zinedine Zidane, 7-Raul; 9-Ronaldo
Bayer Leverkusen: 1-Joerg Butt; 4-Juan, 5-Jens Nowotny, 3-Roque Junior; 25-Bernd Schneider, 28-Carsten Ramelow, 12-Andriy Voronin, 35-Diego Placente; 10-Paul Freier, 16-Jacek Krzynowek; 9-Dimitar Berbatov

If Madrid play like they did against Barca they'll lose. If Madrid can figure out how to get the ball to the fowards with space then Ronaldo will take care of the rest....or Raul....or Owen if he's given a ball in front of goal....it depends on the midfield IMO

from uefa.com -
36' Berbatov (Leverkusen) scores! Leverkusen take the lead as Madrid's incessant drums are momentarily silenced. Nowotny hits a right-wing cross that Voronin heads against the bar. But the ball rebounds against the helpless Samuel and Placente gives the visitors the lead.

so true, I expect to see some complaints from certain Ronaldo dickryders about how Ronaldo is sooooooooooo much better than RVN who only scores on tap-ins, blah blah blah blah..... it's funny, Real Madrid's problem last season was conceding too many goals, they buy Samuel and get 2 strikers but now they can't score goals. it's basically the same team with just Samuel in the 1st XI. If you look at the number of goals conceded so far, Samuel has actually been quite effective IMO it's just that he commits so many fouls. I think when Woodgate returns and Helguera can move to mid, then their season can turn around. Maybe if Mascherano comes and lives up to his billing, Real will once again be a force to be reckoned with but La Liga is Barca's I think. And honestly Zizou needs to go at the end of this season, he's just a shadow of who he was last season and I'd hate for him to ruin his reputation:( Anyway I think Real's best hope could be the UEFA Cup which is where I think they're going
ronnifan9 24-11-2004, 05:55:AM i actually wouldnt be pissed.....wait, ronaldo to the bench????....r u f^cken kidding me bro.....thats like saying cesar should start instead of casillas:kader: ...as for the penalty, well you aint gonna make ALL of them, but this one would have given us a step into the next round....oh well:(

With Samuel, 11 games, 16 goals conceded
Without Samuel, 8 games, 3 goals conceded :|
World class, Pavon is the guilty. :kader:

He has played very inconsistently this season.
Walter has made weird (best way to describe it) mistakes.
He proves that he has class with some of the tackles that he makes. Today he made a handful of tackles that saved great opportunities from Bayer. Tackles on Berbatov and Ramelow come to mind.
I think Woodgate coming back (for good, i hope) will be a huge help to the team

Yep, clear dive.
:kader:
Yes, clear dive indeed. Look at that pic yourself. He went in looking for that leg to stick out and fall with minimal contact. His body language suggested he was going to fall anyway.
Its experience, reputation and theatrics that got him the penalty. Good thing the oaf didn't convert the spot kick.
WilliamFAlmeida 24-11-2004, 01:33:PM anyone have highlights of this match?
Hendrik 24-11-2004, 03:47:PM Real Madrid could be punished by Uefa after a section of the club's fans directed racial abuse at Bayer Leverkusen's black players.
Some fans at the Bernabeu stadium directed monkey chants at Leverkusen defenders Roque Junior and Juan during the 1-1 draw in the Champions League.
Several members in the home sections could also be seen making Nazi salutes.
The ugly scenes follow similar taunts suffered by England's black players in a friendly in Spain on 17 November.
England lost the match 1-0 but the match was marred by the racist chanting which Ashley Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips, in particular, had to endure.
Fifa has demanded an explanation from the Spanish Football Federation for the events and the English Football Association has sent a letter of complaint to Uefa and Fifa as well as their counterparts. in Spain.
The international came under Fifa jurisdiction but the Champions League game on Tuesday comes under Uefa's control.
Their control and disciplinary panel may now take action after reviewing the referee's report and examining video and audio recordings from the match.

I heard that yesterday. When Junior fouled Zidane (i think) and got booked, you could clearly hear the racist sounds.
But when Nowotny did the same and got booked, there were just regular boos and whistles.
Just shameful. Like club, like fans.
Amdy Faye 24-11-2004, 05:29:PM On Skysports they showed the people doing it, the first lot were actually Madrid fans I think, just normal people with Madrid scarves etc, and were just doing the racist chants and then shoutin other things. But the second lot probably didnt even support madrid, they may have but they just looked interested in chanting racist things. They had no shirts on, and one had a massive Nazi tattoo on his arm.
It's bad though, but fining the club isnt really gonna solve it is it, get those fans out. If that happened here the fans behind those people, or next to would of said somethin. But they were just left to do what they want :kader:
kobashi 24-11-2004, 05:57:PM were them nazi's actually ejected from the ground or not??
Amdy Faye 24-11-2004, 06:18:PM Nope.
Apparently they're part of a group, and when the Micraphone's near them you can obviously hear it louder. The German TV people couldnt even pick it up they said, so it wasnt as bad as the England game. But I didnt know Spain really had people like that. Like I said in the Madrid thread, what if Lele and Flavio were still there. And Ronaldo's not exactly white is he.
Latest word is that they'll get a fine, or maybe be forced to play it behind closed doors, or at a neutral venue. But it's only about 10 people. So just chuck em out innit. It's not always as simple though, with death threats etc.

That's the whole point. If you're a nazi/racist/whatever and come to games like these, you don't really care much for the club, you're just there to start trouble and provocate.

Elber2k3 24-11-2004, 06:52:PM Did the Real fans really have a NPD (german Nazi party) flag?

It was only a certain group of people but look at Roma's case where it was onlt one single person and they had their next 2 CL gaes behind closed doors.

Call it a dive or whatever you want, the contact was worthy of a penalty. If it was a Juventus player, I guarantee you wouldn't say a damned thing.

This has to be the most ignorant post in a while.
Are you saying Real Madrid is a racist club?
You can't judge Real Madrid by 100 idiot fans.
Amdy Faye 24-11-2004, 11:02:PM Yup tru Dragan mate, and Elber, yep, one of the guys had a nazi tattoo on his arm, but I doubt he was actually a madrid fan. Wtf's he doin anyway with a nazi flag, he wasnt even alive when all that was goin on. Jus some Neo Nazi wannabe :kader:
And the penalty, like a lot these days, if the legs out, it's committed, you cannot do that in the penalty area. Like Rooney + Campbell. If the legs where, it's out.. You cant do that.

I cant believe Uefa havent even filed a report yet?.. Joke...
If ur gonna kill someone, do it on front of a Uefa representative, cause he sure as hell aint gonna tell anybody.
