Zlatan Ibrahimovic, swedish star.
Many of my friends have split views about this young striker. Some love him, others hate him.

Your opinion?

one more Juve fan (H)

Zlatan is great. Hes still finding his role in the team at Juve but im convinced he'll go on to be one of the best in the game.

He is such an imposing figure and doesn't have to even score to contribute. He makes his presence felt no matter what.

Hes made a great start to his Juve career and has won over a lot of fans.

Good player......seems somewhat arrogant though. And as a Juve fan, I'm still not 100% convinced, we'll see when his first season in Juve is over.

Looks like I share your opinons, zlatan is an amazing player, and only 22 years old, he will without doubt be one of the top 3 strikers in the world.
He got an atitude, I agree, but I think it's kinda cool to. He knows what he can do so he is very confident, I like it.

Thanks Pavel =)

I think he's crap, he's so slow.

No, just kidding, Zlatan is great. Adriano is better, though. :p

Does Adriano create goals?

ronnifan9

no ......he makes them.....whats better scoring or creating them???????
...........id have to say scoring them
Adriano>Zlatan:p

IceBlu

but he scores and creates. Doesn't score as many as Adriano but creates soooo many more.

I still think Adriano is the better player right now but not for long.

Andreas
25-11-2004, 11:38:PM
Adriano 18 apps - 16 goals this season

Zlatan 16 apps - 5 goals this season

Couldn't find any assists rankings, so I don't know exactly how many Adriano has, know he's got a few though.

and as ronnifan9 said: "whats better scoring or creating them???????
...........id have to say scoring them"

I second that.

Adriano can create his goals. He's big but he's doesnt stand around in the box waiting for a ball to drop by. If you take a look at his goals, you'll see he just receives a ball in midfield and then he takes a long shot and that's it. That happens a lot.

Not to mention when he just starts dribbling like mad and scores, like he did against Udinese on this season. Adriano is the most threatening player in the world alongside Ronaldinho and Shevchenko atm.

Great player, love him.

Weird-ass personality. Really, it must be a Swedish-Croatian thing or something. He once pretended to be a cop in Malmo's red light district and he got arrested. (H)

Read this Ajax-USA article from back in 2001 when nobody knew who he was. Except Ajax fans of course: http://www.ajax-usa.com/desk/the-zlatan-phenomenon.html

Zlatan is a good player, i still remember him blazing the ball over the bar at the euro though, that was dissapointing. But in reality hes not as good as Adriano, Adriano is the best striker in the world at the moment. Inter depend on him so much, and hes there most important player by a mile. How much do Juve depend upon Zlatan, and could Zlatan contribute to Inter as much as Adriano has if we replaced Adriano with Zlatan?

.

Did Adriano do this well in his first season in Seria A? Did Thierry Henry do it?

18apps - 16 goals and lying 15 points adrift.

If Sheva and Adriano get injured one of the Milan teams will win the league next season, Seria B

"They are two great attackers," Lippi outlined. "The Brazilian has the ability to find the back of the net from any angle.

"The Swede has class and technique. He is as good a goalscorer as he is an assist man."

-Marcello Lippi. (about Adriano and Zlatan)

Drogba. HA !

Drogba is the best Striker at the moment not only for scoring, but for doing far more things, if the best Striker is the one who scores the most at any time of his career from any position, in activity, of course, is Ruud Van Nistelrooy

Zlatan is a pretty good striker. He showed in his seasons with Ajax that he can play really well and he improved his game alot there.

By Larrson not playing for Sweden he got his chance and played for his country abit and he improved himself so much.

He just needs time to settle into Italian style of game, as it is a totally different game to the one in Holland.

I have only seen Zlatan play once, and that was for Ajax against Breda at the ArenA. He did not impress me that much but i think it was just an off day. He was really tall and when he got the ball you could see he really wanted to do things with it.

Just wait a season and he will start banging in the goals for Juve :o

It may seem that Adriano is a better player atm, but at the same time you need to look at the two teams (inter and juve).

Juventus got a much better team then Inter, so it is more difficult to "single out in the crowd" like Adriano does in Inter. And, like previously said, it is Zlatan's first season in Serie A.

I will also say that Zlatan has not scored as many goals, but the goals he has scored has been the important ones, the ones that settles the games. That also counts for his assists.

But playing at a better team automatically makes you better, it is easier to perform on an in-form team that's constantly playing good football. It is harder to perform in a team constantly struggling to create chances etc.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be one of the best players in the history of the game if he continues to develop like he has done so far. Him, Adriano and Shevchenko make my perfect striking treble.

He's in the right place. Either Juve or Milan would be the perfect destinations for him, and he chose the first. Wise indeed.
