I really want Fifa2000 on the Pc, but am debating how smoothly it will run on a Voodoo 1-based 3d card. I have an AMD K62 450Mhz CPU and 128 MB RAM.
Cheers.
ps. Italy are far better than England

Even with no video card, Fifa 2000 runs very smoothly. A video card ads a bit to the game but any video card is a bonus. Fifa 2000 is an excellent game and I suggest you buy it. And with the cpu specifications you gave, it will run extremely smoothly. Just a question: Whats a person who has such a high tech computer and is concerned so much about video cards doing with such an old video card. If it matters so much to you, get a newer one. Voodoo 2 or 3 are both excellent. With 4 and 5 coming out in march.

Thanks for your advice. As for question - I only have a crappy Voodoo 1 because recently I tried a Matrox G400MAX and Voodoo3 in my AGP slot and found that they overheated and crashed my games too frequently. I believe my dodgy FIC m/board is to blame - something to do with not supplying the correct voltage to the AGP slot.

nourkteily, I'm afraid you're mixing up videocards and 3d-cards, a videocard IS of course needed... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

It runs horribly slow on a Voodoo I card. Your best bet is to buy FIFA 99 not FIFA 2000. The graphics are choppy, the lines have jaggies and the player animations skip frames...not smooth at all. Stick with FIFA 99. By the way, before you buy FIFA 2000, read the commentaries of what is wrong with the game first before purchasing it. I was extremely disappointed by the whole game. What grade would I give it? Grade: F
I have PII 350 MHz, 1278 MB PC100 RAM and a Matrox Millenium G200 video card. FIFA 2000 is not running smoothly. What can I do?
