I was just wondering how do you change the default main font and background without completely skinning the interface? I have tried one method but it doesnt seem to work unless im doing something wrong..
I want to make the default main font 'Arial Narrow' and have a simple blue background. Could anyone please give me simple instructions on how to do this? Any help appreciated.

Backgroung: Go to data/graphics/background, delete or backup default.jpg, and name the jpg you like as background as "default.jpg" with the same size as the original (do not remember this)
Font: Go to data/fonts, delete or backup the file you want to replace
fm main.t2k = changes the Main font
fm scoreboard.t2k: Teh electric pannel over the match engine
fm symbol.t2k: I didn't try this, and I don't wan
Then, chose the font you like, for example Comic Sans, and rename it as "fm main.ttf" (or other) not as *.t2k, for some reason, it won't work that way
Well, I think that's it :)

WTF, never happened that to me
And I do not know what your problem is if you followed my steps, since If I do that, I can change fonts correctly
My folder here, hope it helps

The random two are the backup of the original two :)
And your selected font should work
I can't figure out why you have that problem v.v!

Maybe it needs to be a "True Type" true type font. You used an "Open Type" true type font there. You can recognise them by their icon. Blue and green O for open type, and gray and blue TT for true type. Like the one in Nidoking's pic.

Ok, still doesn't seem to work... :(
My other problem is making a simple colour the background instead of the standard 'grass' background.. For example shokz has this blue colour background.. How could I make it like this?
