What do you think of it ? Do you think that european teams will take it seriously, or they just will play for the money, as they do with Toyota Cup.

IŽd like to read some opinions about the tournament, specially from european peolple.

Thanks

Vasco will be the winner.

Vasco, Real Madrid, Corinthians, and Jubilito will be the clubs who will play with the most heart!

South Melbourne will probably be the club who does the worst(not saying they are a bad club, because I know they are not....)

Man U. will be the club that really doesnt give a damn about ANYTHING rather than winning to gain some money, and to move up on the popularity ladder!

I'm gonna go with Necaxa (Mexico), only because there a big underdog. But I think ManU might take, even though I'm not a big fan of ManU.
I would have liked to see DC United (or any MLS club) go up against the top clubs in the world just to see how good they can play against them. I always here how bad the MLS is, but we really don't know unless we really see. Opinions don't really count. Only the end result of a game.
Hopefully, for the following tourny, they will have more clubs in it.

agree w/you fifafanatic,
I don't know if you remember, but last year, DC United beat Vasco Da Gama on a cup that's played between the Copa Libertadores winner, and the Concacaf winner. I forgot what the name of the cup is called.
Now I realize that DC should've been on that tournament (by competition), though I rather see Vasco on it.

The truth is Vasco played that game against DC just "for fun", although the team that should be in World Cup is Palmeiras (Champion of 1999 Libertadores)

Both European teams Man Utd and Real Madrid don't deserve to win it. Man U just want to get more money, while Real's form drastically needs to shape up, their form lately is pathetic.
Go Vasco and South Melbourne, if they stand a chance.

first off you people are dumb manu are going to this brasil cup because they were invited for being euro champs they are not going for the money, just like in tokyo, manu were invited to play the best from the americas oh and too bad manu won another, why would manu go to these tournaments just for the money?

I think Man U and Real will take it seriously. Real is way off form and I don't expect them to do well. I think it will come down to Man U and Corinthians with the Brazilians taking it on home field. But we'll just have to see... the question of anybody deserving it will be solved on the field.

Palmeiras will probably play in it next year. I would have liked to see D.C. United in there as well. At least this is a step towards setting up a World Club tournament and styling it after the World Cup. Only national champions should be in it, NO runnerups and NO miscellaneous cup winners. That is what I would love to see. I think this tournament might be an experiment that could lead to it. Keep your fingers crossed.
