buba3d 08-12-2004, 08:47:PM I would like to be the first to say.............
WHAT THE **** IS THAT ****.
cashless 08-12-2004, 08:54:PM the game looks great man!
Zlatan 08-12-2004, 09:15:PM Seems like HTML isn't working here men ;)

What The **** Is That ****
Xtr3me3 08-12-2004, 10:14:PM omfg...thats the most nicest screenshot ever :D
manutd4eva 08-12-2004, 10:28:PM If you ****s just paste the link in your address bar, you'd see the screenshots.
Still can't see the reason behind making this game, though, other than to rob the little kids. Looks just like FIFA 2005.
i think VB code only working at here....
don't see any different between this and FIFA2005 (in term of graphics)
ChRIsA 08-12-2004, 11:29:PM Anyone could have taken those screenshots by just going in Fifa. Not even any new stadiums by the looks of it.
Youri Bakker 08-12-2004, 11:50:PM The pitch and the sky look different to me and the people around the pitch. But the rest is the same:(.
donovan929 09-12-2004, 02:06:AM weak screenshots... same as 05
gagiz 09-12-2004, 02:18:AM I dont see crap:(
ronnifan9 09-12-2004, 04:13:AM mindbogling....literally(N)

SuRFy 09-12-2004, 04:54:AM the damn links wont work :(
ronnifan9 09-12-2004, 05:05:AM (thanks) santino....:D
Sprhr66 09-12-2004, 05:36:AM U look at those people who are the camera crew
they look ******* relistic.
ntigers2004 09-12-2004, 05:42:AM if u ask me it looks worse than fifa 2005 (graphically) the only few good things are that they gopt the night features right (byu the looks of it) though i am still looking forward to it
WrongfulWright 09-12-2004, 06:16:AM The sad thing about everyone moaning that the screenshots look identical is that the same people that whine about it are the people that buy it (myself included).
Why would EA stop putting out game after game after game with little to no improvement from one to the next, when they are always scooped up by buyers the second they hit the shelves?
EA are businessmen, and businessmen will continue to implement a formula that yields the most money. In the case of the FIFA series, they invest relatively little money in developing new features (as we all know and complain about), and thus increase their profit margins substantially.
This Champions League game is simply a marketing ploy. If EA wanted to include it as a game mode in FIFA 2005, they would have, and just left out the training missions and other filler that allow EA to market this as an entirely new title.
The reality is, sadly, that I'm probably going to buy it because there is a Champions League logo cut into the grass on the pitch, even though I object to what the game stands for. In that respect, the score is: EA - 16, Me - Nil.
jefferson goh 09-12-2004, 11:13:AM dman.. the kit is crap....
Here is the feature list!!!

proxnet 09-12-2004, 06:30:PM the graphics r the same like fifa 05 except that the night graphics have improve and the stadium looks more realistic
lopikau 09-12-2004, 08:21:PM i dont want 2 waste me money just to spend on ea games becoz ea games sux. the grafix is not good, i just wanna play pro evo soccer- the game is worthful.;)
WrongfulWright 09-12-2004, 11:24:PM So I am guessing that you all agree with my previous post since there has been no rebuttal?

what mayor graphics improvement you on about??
The grahics look ugly as hell.
and why make a seperate title just for champions league lol
Arent the leagues and cups supposed to be implemented in the normal fifa series??
Whats next? Seperate version for "Fifa Concacaf cup", "Fifa africa cup", "fifa asia cup", "fifa ueafa cup" , fifa amsterdam tourney cup(with only 4 teams lol), "fifa amstel cup", "fifa carling cup"
when will this game release?
NYHits 10-12-2004, 03:13:AM to me the game looks the same they are just trying to make more money and most likely they would because some people will be dumb enough to buy the new game thinking that they will have new additions but its just the same product as 05.... jeez cant they just wait and make all the improvements for Fifa 2006

Xtr3me3 10-12-2004, 12:17:PM so let me predict wats this game is gonna be like....its gonna be like euro 04 (the sequel of fifa 04) which means this game is gonna be 90% same as fifa. changes made should be the player stats, goalies improvement , balls thats all i don't see any point of buying this game. i rather stick to fifa 05 and save my money to get Red Alert 3 : The Universe. if ea wanna released this champions league game just for champions league i suggest they should save this for fifa 06
lopikau 10-12-2004, 12:51:PM hell yeah! they shuld save this for 06. m8!
manutd4eva 10-12-2004, 06:42:PM I'll be :drevil:buying:drevil: this game.(H)

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. the Liverpool kit looks nothing like that.
Punkt 11-12-2004, 07:31:AM It looks more a CL patch for Fifa2005 than a game...
stonecold_jpm 11-12-2004, 08:30:AM I've heard there won't be a Fifa 2006. EA gonna concentrate on other footy titles instead so wouldn't suprise me if the name "UEFA Champions League" takes over the Fifa name in future.
lil_kewell 11-12-2004, 04:19:PM this game looks like pure ass crack. im not gonna waste Money on this
if i can be fkd i will download it at the most

thats the most lamest thing i've ever heard. EA must be stupid to stop selling fifa. firstly because fifa is featured in WCG almost every year and that means $$$$$$ for EA. wherever u heard that story from i suggest u just forget about it coz its totally crap
RobbieD_PL 12-12-2004, 05:46:AM hey why does this reminds me of euro 2004?
aqsoccer03 12-12-2004, 11:41:AM First of all, I know what everyone's thinking. They're going to whine and complain that this is just a ploy by EA to get more money. But hey, even if this were true, who could blame them? EA's doing something right, because they keep racking in the money. While I do think that this is somewhat a marketing thing for them, I still think that the game will be worth buying. I like licenses so I'll enjoy playing Champion's league with REAL CL logos, adboards, etc. instead of making my own tournament and pretending its CL. My suggestion is to buy it when you get boared with Fifa 05 and can't wait for 06.
Xtr3me3 13-12-2004, 12:48:PM lol i think fifa 05 is still better than this
smicerjnr 15-12-2004, 05:17:PM I am very vey suprised by ea but unfortunately a few things wil prolly get taken out but if these features stay this game will be awesome.
and about the graphics i think that its just fifa 2005 with just a few things added to the game (eg. the uefa badge and ad boards) just to release a few early screenshots, give them some time to change the graphics and jerseys.
smicerjnr 15-12-2004, 05:24:PM whats the exact link on the http://mundofifa.fifala.com/ site for the screenshots

It is not a bug, it's a screen capturing error.
Stuntman 22-12-2004, 09:05:AM As long as it includes the official Champions League song that is played before every match...I'll buy it...lol!
Stuntman 22-12-2004, 09:26:AM I took this directly from the official website. It talks about the new system for corners and free kicks. It's good to see that they are doing it much like the way it's done in PES/WE. FINALLY we can take short free kicks, and we don't have to choose a specific player that we want the ball to go to.
Set Pieces
A whole new set piece system has been put in place for UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TM 2004 - 2005.
CORNER KICK
The Corner Kicks system for UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE™ 2004 – 2005 delivers the following:
- Fast and intuitive functionality
- Call a corner kick set play (short/direct/spread)
- Control the delivery (location and power) of the kick
- A short corner option at all times
- Realistic Ball Physics
- Re-use of the shot meter functionality (press and release)
INDIRECT FREE KICK
The Indirect Free Kick system for UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE™ 2004 – 2005 delivers the following:
- Fast and intuitive functionality
- Call an Indirect Free kick set play
- Control the delivery (location and power) of the kick
- A short pass option at all times
- Realistic Ball Physics
- Re-use of the shot meter functionality (press and release)
The new Indirect Free kick process is as follows: - Step 1 - When a Free Kick is awarded in the attacking third of the pitch, a menu will appear during the ball placement NIS. Choice 1 is a direct free kick (i.e. a shot on goal). Choices 2, 3 and 4 are plays/formations for taking an Indirect Free Kick. Each play will place your attacking players in a different position/formation inside the penalty area (same functionality as corner kicks).
- Step 2 - Adjust the direction of the kick with the on-screen arrow using the left analog stick.
- Step 3 - Press and release (using the power meter) one of the three buttons to take the Indirect Free kick.
Pressing the X button will result in a short free kick. The ball will be passed along the ground to the closest team-mate.
Pressing the Circle button will result in a driven free kick. The ball will have a flatter, lower, faster trajectory.
Pressing the Square button will result in a curl free kick. The ball will have a higher, slower and curled trajectory.
DIRECT FREE KICK
The Direct Free Kick system for UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE™ 2004 – 2005 delivers the following:
- Fast and intuitive functionality
- Control the delivery (location and power) of the kick
- A short pass option at all times
- Realistic Ball Physics

I also found this on the official site. It explains the changes that they've made. To me, it sounds like they are taking the things from PES/WE that people like and putting it into their games. Obviously it won't feel like PES/WE, but some of the features, such as advantage, indication of stoppage time, etc, are included in this game. I'm also glad to see that they've eliminated the gap in between the midfielders and the defenders, as well as adding AI substitutions/tactics, and finally, the goal keeper won't punch the ball out for a corner everytime you take a long shot. Hopefully all of the things they mention actually apply well to the game.

The potential for bad referee decisions has been added. This feature adds unpredictability and drama to a match, which therefore adds more excitement for the player. Additionally it adds character to the referees as they are now susceptible to “human” mistakes.
HANDBALL
The referee now has the ability to call a handball.
- A replay and commentary will be triggered to support this.
ADVANTAGE
- The referee will call an advantage if the fouled team has an attacking advantage.
- An advantage icon will appear in the top right hand corner of the screen if an advantage is played.
- If after a few seconds, it is deemed that the team does not have a sufficient attacking advantage, the foul will be called and a free kick will be awarded.
- Commentary will be triggered to support this.
INJURY TIME
The referee will now indicate the amount of injury time to be played at the end of a half.
- The injury time will appear as an icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- The referee can call 1, 2, 3 and 4 minute injury time.
- Commentary will be triggered to support this.

I wasn't looking forward to this game very much until I read about all of the changes, now I am a bit excited because they seem to have changed all of the things that I don't like about FIFA 2005.
Xtr3me3 23-12-2004, 12:16:PM how i really wish they can keep this features for fifa 06. coz some of the features really has got bugs in them just like fifa 05 but i won't name them just to save the online play community
Stuntman 24-12-2004, 04:05:AM I just hate playing people online who take long shots because the keeper punches them out for a corner everytime, then they choose near post and choose the player in the 6 yard box and score on a header everytime. That's what ruins FIFA 2005 online for me. The computer is more random, thankfully.
Xtr3me3 24-12-2004, 10:54:AM not all of them uses long shots. try playing 1700+ and those 6 yard corner headers can be defended easily.
Brett 05-01-2005, 03:01:PM It will take more than graphics this time... I'm not buying!
zeroztar 05-01-2005, 04:24:PM Does anyone know if there will be cutscenes showing the subs made, or atleast a sign with names of the players coming on/off?
This huge bug from FIFA2005 must be fixed!
proxnet 05-01-2005, 06:24:PM it's not a bug :( just that ea din' programm for all the stuff
zeroztar 05-01-2005, 07:18:PM Ok, maybe that. But it´s like a huge bug I think. But maybe no one knows that much about this new game yet?
