Forget about Fifa 2005 ! The only way to play it without trouble is to play it original without any patch
Every year the structure becomes more complicated and therefore the game is less stable
Last year there were 6 z-datas, this year 17 , next year 50 ??:kader:
It's very sad but true
The EA programmers don't master the technology and don't test it or maybe they want to " kill " the patch community

I use to feel the same way, but since I uninstalled my game, install fresh and add all graphics manually, using biggui.exe and fat-bh-builder, I haven't had a single crash, in fact it even seem more stable than 2004 now!!! oh, and I avoided the do cpu sub line in locale.ini!

ralta,
did you install all the kits without kitraptor as well?
did you use the same fifa.db file after you reinstaled?
I'm thinking of doing the same but it seems like a lot of work!

I used kit-raptor 2.0 to install kits, but boots and balls manually with biggui and fatbh. I also edited the database with unidb/ms access 2002, to add a new team to the game, and no crashes yet, its been two weeks now!!!

If you re-install, I would advise to start with a fresh copy of fifa.db, and always backup that file, you can add the common.ini file too, but remove the "do_cpu_sub" lines!!!

Really? you think the do_cpu_sub lines are causing it?

After I created my teams it was working properly for a while but at some point, i don't know when exactly, it started crashing a lot.

I am hesitant to start with a new fifa.db because I've spent SO MUCH time editing it already!

I have only used kitraptor to install kits and UniDb/Access.
Then I installed the appropriate graphics for the 2 new teams I created.
I didn't install any new faces, boots, or balls. I did not install any other .exe patch either.

the locale.ini always caused my game to crash.. i simply don't use it

I have noticed that with the do_cpu_sub lines, whenever the cpu makes a sub during a match, the game crashes at the end of the match.

You can allow the CPU to make subs in editing the ini big file in data/cmn ( export ai, tweak it and re import with bigGui )
So you don't write your lines in the locale ini

Do you think that if i do the same of you but instead of installing boots and/or balls i do that with fonts will i have any trouble?
And do you know that if you can get Referees and Linesmen to appear on the pitch without using common.ini?

really?
isn't there 2 lines to add to enable cpu subs?
there is do_cpu_subs
and cpu_sub

so by editing the do_cpu_subs in the ai file only, that isn't enough to actually turn subs on. right?

anyways i took out the locale.ini file completely, and edited the ini.big a bit, but the game still crashes sometimes, just not as often.

I tried to re-install and do stuff manually, using KitRaptor 2.0, however if i change do_cpu_sub in ai.ini the game still crashes at the end of the match if the CPU made a sub, on common.ini i only use FEATURE_INGAME_REFEREE_ENABLED = 1 and FEATURE_INGAME_LINESMEN_ENABLED = 1. How can i get both things to work without crashing?:(
When i turn the ai.ini back to normal of course it doesn't do subs and it doesn't crash, and yeah i've used FATBH builder.

so if i'm not mistaking, you need to be a huge programmer to patch another ball into the Fifa game?

It used to be so easy, but now whenever i try to use a ball/boot/kit/whatever patch to the game, i need to reinstall the game! :(

you guys might want to try fifaFS instead of fatbhbuilder. It solved a lot of problems for me, but I don't know if it will solve all of your problems.

Exactly! FifaFS is the gratest utility for FIFA 2005, or maybe I should say that it's the only one that is working...
Because anything else will sooner or later crash the game.. :f***:

My game crashes all the tim after I installed bootraptor...any advice to get it workin with bootraptor...usually crashes in the second half....I have problems with substitutions.

Is there any way to get the gsme workin with bootraptor and make subs at the same time?????
