Should be a good game. Newcastle has already lost to Sporting once in their preseason cup, and Sporting is currently going through a good period in the portuguese league.

We used to be near unbeatable at home but now we are so unpredictable i haven't a clue what to predict.

in spite of anything, i think Newcastle will easly win 3-0

I think both Sporting and Newcastle will play without a couple of players acording to the newspapers. I don´t see much motivation in both squads towards this game, so it will prolly be a draw or a Newcastle win, depending on the midfield (without some key players) that Sporting will present.

and about 7-1... i can only say, that our main gk Ovchinnikov was injured. and in the net there were f**king Malafeev.

what the hell? I didn't see the keeper make any blunder... most of the goals couldn't be defended.

You should blame your piece of crap defence and your slow midfield.

the reason of this home lose was the curved leg of Ignashevich. he missed the penalty kick. the same happened in the home match against Chelsea, where Vagner also missed the penalty.

i really don't know how newcastle has been performing latelly so i can't really predict who will win and who will lose, but i believe that whoever wins it will do it by a one goal margin.

Well our form has been awful recently. We've created some good attacking football but our defence is AWFUL. Everton, Chelsea, Pompey are all games in the past few week where we've played better than our opponents for much of the game but defensive errors have let these teams get back into the game late on.

However we are still playing some decent stuff despite our poor defence so someone is going to get a thrashing sooner or later.

Just read kluivert and shearer will not play. Can anyone confirm this?

Shearer's been out for quite some time now and Kluivert has been struggling with a few knocks over the past few weeks so Ameobi and Bellamy will feature.

The preseason friendly was a dive fest.... and this will be a lot more of the same i feel.

Here we go about the dive talk. It was only diving, Sporting didn´t have the merit of beating Newcastle in the pre-season (even if they played without 50% of their starters). I don´t expect anything else from you anyways. Btw you constantly whine about diving, didn´t you see Bellamy and Ameobi in this match? What about that defender who "felt" Pinilla in the back and threw himself to the ground, getting an easy foul when Pinilla was in a good position to score? Ahh that´s right, it´s only bad if your opponents do so. Remember Newcastle´s penalty against Panionos? I sure do, it was a great dive.

P.s It´s a good excuse, i should say this all the time when Académica loses. They dived.
And you can only laugh when Peseiro says that he wants to win the Uefa Cup...playing like this.
