I've just started a game with Leeds, and have a transfer budget of 160K pounds :( I have no idea who to buy.. Do any of you guys have any suggestions of decent players who are in my price range? Thanks

Look in country u-21 and u-19 player lists and sometimes you find really cheap players.

Try offloading some of your players to other clubs aswell :)

Cheik Gadiaga, Imad Ali (though he's LL Legend) and Xavi Navarro are some of the few that I remember right now.

Try the "I'm your friend [Manager]" at Release Comment with one club that you could be interested and you can get players from that club far easier, though that club will bid for one or two or your players :(

To be honest you can't do much with 160k. Make the most of it and as Larry said try selling some players for the highest possible price. That may get you some extra fund.

Frank de Boer is very good for 1 year or so, and he's free. Maybe Batistuta? Go with the oldies, a lot of quality for a cheap price.

prob is the oldies will be crap soon after u buy them...

but they are great for 1 or 2 seasons, they can help you get promoted

You can get Healy from Preston on a free when his contract expires shortly. You're Leeds which comes with a decent reputation so you can get some qaulity loan signings from the premierleague pretty easily.

I would love to have 160k. My Lincoln City game i have 22k but i'm looking good to get promotion to the Championship this season.

I always have 280k when I start with Leeds. Weird.

Check my Macs and a Logan thread. They helped me a lot. And utilize Leeds' youth. Walton, Killgallon, Richardson, Lennon, Pugh, McMaster, and Wood are good enough to start with. Leeds are such an excellent team if you see it that way.

Mirko Gubellini, good for one season, free, or you can get him for nothing. Striker. About 35 too.

Frank de Boer would be great. But another thing will depend on how much wages he would demand.

Yeah. Pound sterling is so overrated.

there is no such thing as overrated currency. lol. The value doesnt represent the "strenght" of the currency in the market :) The dollar has been loosing the last 1-1.5 year compared to the euro, but this actualy helps the Us ecconomy and makes it worse for the Euro...

I didn't mean overrated in value, but just plain generally overrated. (H)

This was my first eleven for Leeds.

Sullivan, Richardson, Kilgallon, Radebe, Crainey, McMaster, Spring, Seth Johnson, Pugh, Deane, Simon Johnson

I had a great defence but the attack was crap. The sad thing is that Bakker won't really play the first season unless you risk his fitness in May. Spring is an asset who I worked with before at Luton. He can score long range beautys. He got first and second for GOTM.

As for players, go look for transfer listed ones. They are usually an indication. I spent my 160k on Harewood.

I was playing with Norwich and I had 1.6 million pounds in transfer money. I bought Lorenzo Amoruso from Blackburn for 100k. He is pretty good for about a year or so and other clubs still offer him moneyso you may get a budget out of him:p
