View Full Version : Tired of being controlled?
Brett 20-12-2004, 10:15:PM I want full control.
Why do I loose control of my player once the opposing keeper has control of the ball (after I just missed scoring)? Actually, you loose control even before the keeper has the ball!!!
In previous years we use to be able to foul the keeper if we wanted (it happens all the time in real life). We want that option back!!!!!!!
What do you guys think about that... important or unimportant?
Wildros 20-12-2004, 11:17:PM I think it´s pretty important, it´s almost the same thing when you try too dribble past defenders.
Pontiakos 21-12-2004, 06:33:AM yeah I agree you should the natural God given right of receiving a red card for f*cking the keeper up out of frustration,
Funky--K 22-12-2004, 01:56:AM why can we nutmeg players in euro04 and not in fifa 05? ...or can we?
aqsoccer03 22-12-2004, 03:05:AM Put these in the requests thread

Well-said man!
I think we lost total control of being able to foul the keeper after FIFA WC 2002. That is also when the game started going down hill in many aspects.
You guys think they went through personnel changes after WC 2002? It sure seems so doesn’t it?
RonaldinhoBR10 23-12-2004, 01:17:AM yes in fifa they have control and we (the players) have no control its always the same crap
Zlatan 23-12-2004, 03:43:AM Are you a queen or something. We want this we want that. I never said I wanted it it isn't realistic(On a short note, FIFA hasn't been at all realistic since '99)
Bummy_JaB 29-12-2004, 01:26:AM While it may seem comical everytime you bash the keeper; I think it is not needed to improve the gameplay at all.......:kader:
kashik 29-12-2004, 04:52:AM but how about the loss of control in the case when you send a through ball to a player, and you cant make him run towards it. He just waits for it, with the defender taking the ball most of the time.

Important. In my opinion Fifa 98 is still the best Fifa game ever.
El Diablo Rojo 30-12-2004, 01:35:AM Actually it's a bit hillarious if you play using a formation like 3-4-3 you see the 3 forwards standing there aimlessy when the keeper picks the ball. Plus i'm tired of the keepers comitting penalties and not getting a damned booking.:kader:
Aleex 01-01-2005, 08:17:AM I wanted to start a tread about this for a long time. There is absolutly no full controll of the player during the match. Why in the hell i can not move my player when someone is passinf a ball? Is it so hard to do? I want to have full controll all the time!!! When I want to slide i whould slide, when I want to move I would move. While all this controll of players. Big bugs in EAs gamepay system. That need to fix that crap, and make FIFA2006 look and feel like real socccer!!!:f***:

Brett 05-01-2005, 01:24:AM As far as having no control, how about when the ball hits a player from the opposing team and it begins to go outside (where it would be a corner for your team). Your controlled player will start running towards the ball as if possessed, when in fact you are pointing the control stick to the opposite direction because you want the ball to go out of bounds so that you can take a corner-kick. The player, which you are supposed to control, has a mind of his own and refuses to do what you want (so hilarious and sad at the same time).
This might be just as frustrating as not being able to foul the keeper (in an attempt to make a goal of course… cough-cough).
Besides, in response to the guy that says that being able to slide into the keeper won’t affect the gameplay, there are plenty of times when I feel that I can get to the ball before the keeper, but my player just stops running and backs off, even when I am holding the run button.
That is just silly.

I know it pisses me off soo much!!!!:f***:
WilliamFAlmeida 12-01-2005, 05:02:AM I HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!
FIFA needs to amke a "come to" button or something.
also if you make a pass from a foward intended for a midfielder making a run it'll NEVER GO TO him the pass always goes to the other foward, EVEN IF the ball hits the foot of the midfielder.
my point: DONT AUTOMATICALLY CONTROL who gets the passes. If one player can get it, if it goes to his feet than FINE. so many bad passes are made because the computer chooses who is recieving the pass. On top of that passes hardly go to feet if you are passing laterally, it automatically goes infront of the player

True... keepers can knock your player to hell and nothing happens. We should be able to have our revenge even if it means a red card.
This is a must have for 2006!
