Del Piero(mr. Screw up) cant ****n score ,France wasnt that dominant ,but its just that Del Piero had 3 good chances and blew them all and he is the highest paid player in the world .I lost respect of him ,I hope Juve sells him .

Thats an interesting point. When France beat Brasil I wondered for a very long time and still do - If Ronaldo was healthy then?? then what??

I'm sorry to say you and other Azzuri fans will wonder it to Pablo.

Personally my heart says Vieri could make any team better. But my head says would Inzaghi have played in Turkey? Would Totti play against Belgium? and so on.

A simply line up change could switch the entire team.

Normally Italy has 2 strikers ,so I guess it would be Totti or Del piero playing as his partner .Beleive me ,Vieri is like Roberto Baggio was in 94 or Schillacci in 90 .

If if if .........

He wasnt fit so you never know. If Buffon wasnt injured..... would he have stopped 3 penalties? If Patrick Berger wasnt suspended for the first two matches would the Chzec Republic have been better? If Spain had selected Morientes, what would have happened? If Frank de Boer just scored the first penalty.....

There are so many factors which make a tournament with their winners and losers, all the 'if' questions are obsolete.

I forgot the most important 'if' .....

What if Frisk only allowed 3 minutes time added on instead of 4 ?? That is a mindbreaker.

Mr Paolo Rossi why even bother with the ifs. Your the one that said that you don't care if Italy looses to Farance and that your happy for them for even reaching the final. To Bad you could join us at Saint Cathrens and Cresent Street yesterday. The celebrations were wild. Must be tuff living in a pro french city. But as a nutruel I call them as I see them. France played better but didn't dominate. The Italians played remarkable footbal too. As the game was coming to an end and it was 1-0 for italia and I said it was a well deserved win for italy. But God smiled on the tricolor in the end.

OH YES!!!!

Add the world's no.1 striker to a team that was winning at the 93rd, and it would have been Aurevoir France!

IT is one thing to have Vieri in the lineup. But do you think Zoff would have played Veiri and Inzaghi or Totti or Delvecchio or would he have still subbed in Mr. Over-Rated. It would have made the striker problem even more difficult and who knows if Delvecchio or Totti is even selected. Any team with Vieri is an instant threat. He is best striker Italy has. I think Vieri's attendance would have further complicated things. Zoff should have selected Baggio. The man still has his touch. Whether Italy would have done better well .... we will never know. Just like if Romario and Ronaldo were both fit for WC 98. Or if Di Biaggio's penalty goes in instead of off the post in WC 98. It is one of those things that we will never know.

In all likelyhood if Vieri was there Delvecchio would not have been selected, and Delvecchio was great fun to watch, he always is, so it was a blessing of a kind.

Also someone said they'd rather their team lost 5-0, than in the 94th muinute, but think about it this way- people will be talking about this game 50 years from now and this team will be a legend, if they lost 5-0 that would not be the case.

Polish, you are damn right here.

I never was as proud of a team as I was for the guys yesterday. Came out of nowhere and almost walked away with the cup.
Had a heroic battle against Holland (I'LL NEVER FORGET TOTTI'S PENALTY!).
Showed some real skills yesterday and I'll surely remember them for winning in the 93rd and not for losing in the 102nd.

You are also right, that Vieri would have taken Delvecchio's place, but now I hope that Marco will get that spot (at least on the bench) he deserves constantly, because he showed that he is a 1st class striker.
Given the fact that he will team up with Batigol and Totti next year, I'll ses a marvellous attack for Italy: DELVECCHIO-VIERI-TOTTI!

Yes im happy that they reached this far ,but I would of have rather lost 5-0 than the way they did .It really hurts inside especially when you know that there was 30 seconds left and we could of won and it really kills inside .
