Or maybe Hierro at ~£100k, but he's really, really old at 36...

Rochemback it's free at 3rd season. He has some good stats, never played with him though...

Benoît Pedretti and Eduardo Costa from Marseille are very good.

Also, Vanden Borre can play as DM, and he's pretty cheap and young.

mascherano is good but u need to be manager in a above avarage club to get him. Shouldnt "normaly" cost more than 8-9mil euros (not cheap i know, but he's good and young for that money)

otherwise rochemback, like already mentioned you sign him without much trouble, u just have to wait till his loan ends to be able to complete the transfer

Mascherano is an underperforming idiot for me, as DMC he ended playing like 20 matches with an avg rating of 4.75 or so, the idiot, I spend 12 million on him I remember.

Maybe he's already in another team but if you play with Pau you should try Alexandre Song from Bastia. Look at the "B" Teams of Ligue 1, there are some good players.
