With this tool, you can convert the players names and looks to your pes4.exe and para_we8.bin files.

Did you play as host? Have you also changed the para_we8.bin?

Hey number nine i install your files but when i host a match i can only see the real name, client dont see real names....

Hey is there any chance that this option file and modified we8para.bin cause more lag?

I tried this tool and changed the pes4.exe and para_we8.bin files with my option file but still no success. There is another location somewhere which needs to be changed. Changing these two sources won't let you for instance create a brand new option file with all the chaged names/teams etc. like it did with WE7/PES3.

Hope that someday we will be able to play pes4 with rosters up to date....

did someone try to play online BOTH challengers with 'para' and exe patched with save2para?

as if only one got it.. no way to see updated rosters.
I tried as HOST and CLIENT and no way.
but my challengers had defaut 'para' files...

- inside 0_text.afs
there's also a para_we8.bin file.
maybe even that one must be updated?

I've played with updated rosters!

- i've sent to a guy my option file (wolf 3.0)
- and also patched exe (he had problems patching exe)
- he put patched para into it's folder...overwriting existing one..

while selecting players:
in Juventus he had Ibrahimovic!! (by default still in Ajax!)

(he had Opt file made by himself, different by wolf 3.0)

I noticed all the roster up to date! with Ovchinnikov, Izmailov...

conclusions:
BOTH host and client must have same patched para.bin and .exe

- the only weird thing: team names still default, why?

So, mates, better someone else try this tool playing with a challenger in the same "conditions", so you can test it!

no team names...thats the only thing it doesnt do....just hex edit it yourself..easy....

Wow this is great, I think what should happen is that everyone just follow's wolf's Options Files and patches, and all the needed for fixed online is also released in Wolf Patches. Then we could have all the PES4 online launchers out there have people download Wolf Patch before they can play.

Also, can people have poo people who use NO-CDs like me in mind, I didn't buy the game cause it's not out in North America.

For patched version, you should put the generated para_we8.bin to the destination:
XXX\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 4\dat\patch1_10
to see the effect online.

Quite good but will be perfect if team names can be real also!

after 20 try's i've download save2pare with flashfxp...
i'patched pes.exe imported param.dat to 0_text.afs but now the game wont start...after the game splash screen the game chrashed...great tool :crazyboy:

WRONG!

do like this :
1) copy KONAMI-WIN32PES4OPT in pes4 root (exe and opt file must stay together)
2) drag n drop KONAMI-WIN32PES4OPT into save2para
3) program will create a new para_we8.bin
4) patch exe file selecting PC version
5) move new para_we8.bin into pes4\dat\patch1_10\ and overwrite old one. (make backup)

now everything's ok. it works :rockman:
you DON'T have to import anything inside afs file.

So that means that we are now able to play pes4 online with real rosters and updated squads?

rosters are fine, but teamnames and logos not

EditPES4OptionFile (http://perso.numericable.fr/~ryannick) also has an option to create a new para_we8.bin from an option file.

As I said above, you can as well use the "Create para_we8.bin" function in EditPES4OptionFile.

EditPES4OptionFile v0.81 does work, just copy the new para_we8.bin into "patch1_10" folder. However, team names still not update.. but the rosters are correct.

Teams names aren't stored in para_we8.bin, that's why. You have to hex edit them in the pes4.exe.

save target as doesn't work either.
file is only 26kb and rar doesn't work.

Had the same problem (even with save-target-as) but now the download suddenly worked!

2. change the .exe for the downloaded 1?
3. play and host a game?

Or is it absolutely necassery for the client to have the .exe as well?

The exe file i've posted got hexedited team names.

just using save2para you can UPDATE your we8_para.bin file

maybe better reading all thread to satisfy your answers :)

- save2para ONLY modify para.bin file because exe file has different reserved space for team names...so to avoid names truncated the program DON'T touch exe.

the problem is maybe that in altervista server the band for download is "limited".. so better to wait a little..and retry.

if the ftp link for save2para doesn't work (better if you use an FTP client),
you can also try: editPES4OptionFile (http://perso.numericable.fr/~ryannick/) ;)
it creates the same para.bin file you need for online play.

if you've followed all procedure described in this thread, YES! Just overwrite exe ;)

in case read ALL thread... only exe is not enough.

I really wouldn't bother. even if u do all that. you have to send them the edited files via msn, e-mail etc... he has to put them in his game. and all that just to see updated rosters?

wolf's option file will only work if you and the client are both running the SAME option file. and let's face it. everybody tweaks there option files. so there very rarely the same

EditPES4OptionFile created a blank para for me. and once again. u have to send it to him first. not many people will accept another para file, too easy for people to cheat

Instead of complaining, why don't you tell the author (me) of the problems you encounter. I very much doubt that the latest version of EditPES4OptionFile would generate a blank file. It is much more probable that you didn't patch it BOTH in the patch sub-directory and in the 0_text.afs file, which is needed.

after i updated roster rooney was at man u in online play, but the problem is i could not see my opponents players at all, slots were empty so i couldnt set man mark, i didnt do anything with 0_text.afs because i dont know how! maybe little help plz!
