Has anyone managed to keep plenty of clean sheets like what Chelsea have done this season. I'm into my third season with Villa and we have conceded 3 goals in 12 matches so far.

Sorensen, Vanden Borre, Dawson, Mellberg, Samuel

have been excellent so far.

mate i am rangers & did ok in my first season getting to the q/final of european cup, however everything has went pair shaped this year ........Any tips on good players to buy

What positions do you want to strengthen your squad in? Then maybe we can all give you ideas.

I conceded 9 goals in almost 25 matches :p

Well i dont know what sort of cash you have to spend. What season are you in?

Get Barry Ferguson back into the fold ;) I got him on a free for my Liverpool team to rotate with Steven Gerrard. He's been solid for me.

Thomas Hitzlsperger maybe?

Scott Parker, who went for 3.9mil

Cristiano Zanetti, who i got for 3mil

All these players have decent avg ratings, 7.5 for most of the seasons in my game. (Currently in my 4th) Have also chipped in with a few goals and assists as well.

In 20 matches with PSV I conceded 5 and got bored of the game being so easy:(

My defense is ok i guess. ive conceeded 20 goals in 28 games but have scored 65 of my own. Ive created my own tactic which is a 4-1-3-1-1 and im still tweaking it to get more clean sheets. I must also note my full backs have arrows pointing up making forward runs.

Ive conceeded 3 goals in a 3-2 loss to Arsenal away, 2 in a 2-1 loss to Fulham and 2 goals against Spurs, in the rest of the games in the league ive only conceeded 1 when ive let goals in, but on the contrary, i have scored 2, 3 or 4 myself.

So i guess its not too bad, but i think it will need more tweaking to make it stronger so when i play the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea that they dont score incase their defense gets the better of my strikers.

I have 7 defenders to rotate along the back 4 which are; de Jong, Hyypia, Carragher, Bonera, Chivu, Lahm and Hubschman.

Im second in the league so far with a record of 18-6-4.
