i recently had to reinstall win xp after some probs, once i did i quickly reinstalled pes4 but have been having some very annoying freezing and looping sound probs that i didnt have before. my specs are

3.2 ghz p4
1gb ddr2 ram
x800xt
xp sp2

i also have wolfs patch but dont think thats the prob, when i load up the game and go to the 'press enter' screen the screen freezes and sound loops for a few seconds, usually it comes back after about 5 seconds but it happens at nearly every menu now,it even happens when choosing options in the menu, the game will freeze for a few secs

in game it also happens, for example i might pass a ball and the game will freeze, seconds later the game will continue, its so annoying and really spoils the game, pls help

Hi man,:rockman:

presume that you are using full screen mode, in some configs it may cause these problems.

Solution : :mrpimp:
Go to the seetings screen and check the option "Window mode", then in the resolution list chose the one which match with your windows resolution. At details, chose "High".
Start the game and enjoy without freez ;) :rockman:

yeah just installed 1.10 seems to run better i got a slight loop when the cpu made a sub and the announcer looped for a few secs, ill test more later, when you load up th game in windowed mode do you switch to fullscreen or just play windowed?i like to max my res out;) ,windowed only allows up to 1024/768

when i switch to full screen it freez on my PC but you can try and see what happens.
Konami are not expert in PC games so they don't have a great experience with those kind of games. Anyway, their games are always number one in the world, thanks for all their staff :rockman: :rockman: (H) :mrpimp:

See update at this thread:

Disabling an active anti-virus program seems to stop the problem.
