Which do you think is a better overall competition Champions league or World Cup?

IMO it has to be the Champions league. The best players, the best format and the best teams, hands down. What do you guys think?

I think there is more game level in Champions league, cause players know their mates perfectly, as they play together the whole season. Its a more "professional" competition.

But yes, the ambience is bigger in World Cup, cause it involves a lot more countries.

I prefer the World Cup. Short and spicy.

The world cup has to be just that bit better because it comes around only once every 4 years. But the champions league is harder to win. I support Man Utd more than i support England in truth, but World cup just seems that bit more special. But club over country in supporting.

I was talking about quality.You dont see teams like China or Tunesia in Euro and you have to admit it, EURO 2004's worst team ,Bulgaria, are better then China and the likes.Offcourse i like to see little countrys like my own given chance but if it comes to quality Euro beats WC but it really is only my opnion as you said :)

"Little teams" like Senegal, Turkey, South Korea and Japan knocked out the "bigger teams" in the last World Cup.

I love seeing that. The "smaller teams" get a chance to show that they belong.

World Cup hands down...
1. better atmosphere
2. it only comes around every four years, and people waint anctiously (sp) for it around the world not just in a reagion ie. europe:p
3. more fans are involved, and almost everybody takes a peak at a game even if they're not really into to soccer
4. NATIONAL PRIDE!!!
5. it is more difficult to get into...CONCACAF:crazyboy:
6. there are various amounts of players that become national idols after a WC

...no matter what i wake up at 2,3 AM to watch a fVcken soccer game which i wouldnt do for a CL or Euro....there isnt anything better than watching your country play live soccer in the BIGGEST tournament in the world

Same things happen in Euros (Latvia,Greece) im from Latvia myself so i cant say that im froma a huge footballing country.

Not saying that i dont like the World Cup, its the biggest sporting event after the olympics.Just that i like Euro more.

World cup by far , Champions league is emotional but i can say Libertadores is similar...

World cup takes part every 4 years thats a freeking long time, thats what makes it so emotional and attractive, but one thing is for sure if ur country isn't in the world cup then it sucks :p. Its a bit unfair i guess, i can be born in Haiti and never qualify for the world cup but i can be a haiti and support Barcelona who can qualify to the champions league and have some fun.

World Cup it's more unique then the CL because it's only once in 4 years while the CL is there every year.

The Euro has overall a much better quality than the World Cup, you've almost 10 teams that can really win it.

The World Cup is really unique though, the WC trophy is the most important one in the world in my opinion.

World Cup. It doesn't get any bigger. But CL is fun as hell to watch also. I just wish I got to see all CL games, like I do for World Cup.:(

Close, but WC for me. Mainly for the fact that it can't be bought and countries have to work with what they have.

Champions league is the best of european clubs, You've got the best players in the owrldin this tourny. You've got dream teams like juve, real and chelsea something you will not see in the WC. The WC is on a bigger stage, if not the biggest. But teams are limited to their own nation for a selection of players. Right now I see the World Cup as place just to showcase players for Clubs to pick-up. I like both, I really have preference. As long as something with Greece is involved it's all good.:rockman: One thing is for sure, CL has european refs (the most of the best refs in the world, no arguement) the world cup has some great refs but also some refs that I honestly don't understand why there even reffing. Like Moreno and that ref from Sri Lanka?:confused: I hope they just stop giving crappy refs chances to prove they can screw up in important matches. I like quality football (the best vs the best) and if that's offered I'm in. There really should have been an option for both, but what ever. I'll put a vote in for the CL, because it probably has 3 votes.

The Worldcup is better. That's the only chance I have to see teams from all corners of the globe. It's also the stage for cross continent rivals to face off, and for the SA giants to meet the bigtime Euro teams. The Asians squads also add some flair while African teams add speed and spice. The NA teams add something, but I'm not sure what :crazyboy:

Nothing gets me as excited as the World Cup.

If the WC could have the same format as CL, it'd be awesome.

Home & away competition in CL is great. But, I still love the WC since I love its atmosphere, agony, glory, shocking defeat, etc.

On the other hand, the recent WC were more quantity over quality & poor referee's decisions.

The World Cup is held in a higher regard, its only every 4 years comparded to every, i takes years to qualify and its the most watch thing on tv in the world

some people are saying they wouldnt get up at 3 am in the morning to watch a CL or Euro game.

I do that everytime :(
