First of all, I don't really blame Newcastle for the West Brom came, they were using a very unexperienced squad and only playing 1 up front which I haven't seen Newcastle do for a while.
Anyways, I think the signing of Boumsong was excellent. It will really improve the backline with his class back there but they still need one more ( I would prefer and english centre back but someone like distin would do fine). Babyaro was also another good transfer because he is a better defender then bernard, he may not have the attacking abilities but he is just as fast and good 1 v 1.
As I said before Newcastle still need another centreback and a direct striker would be nice. However, I have been watching a lot of soccer lately and i feel that what Newcastle need is a centre attacking midfielder. I know your probably gonna say we already have bowyer and dyer and jenas but they do not fit. They need someone who can dictate the game with skill and class. A player who will play in the balls, beat players, and strike the ball. WHat I see now is Bowyer who can make good runs but can't beat players and can't spread the ball out. Dyer can beat players occasiopnally but i feel he gets lost in the play and he can't finish. Then their is JJ who again is more of a defensive midfielder who spreads the ball out wide. Then I realized that their is a player out their in Rosicksy from Dortmand. I just want to say that this years Newcastle team is way 2 predictable
