6-0 loss vs Malmo
Cim Bom-Dortmund, only seen the first 30 minutes, wasn`t that good. Felt like that Gambino dude couldn`t bring it up to stay at least 30 seconds standing, without lying on the ground
MisterX 09-01-2005, 01:15:AM Yeah but even worse,Galatasaray missed a penalty....

The Analysis:
The first couple of minutes of the game belonged to the Turkish record champions, who failed to beat Borussia's off-side trap on a number of occasions. After 20 minutes BVB stepped up their efforts and could have been awarded a penalty when Gambino was fouled inside the area. A few minutes later the lively Rosicky went close with a long-range effort, and on 30 minutes Ricken failed to hit the target after a fine solo run. Overall, however, it was a lacklustre first half in which Borussia had six attempts on goal and Galatasaray four.
The second half was much more entertaining. In the early stages the referee generously awarded Galatasaray two promising free-kicks, but Weidenfeller saved the first one and Volkan flashed the second free-kick wide. BVB also had a couple of chances to take the lead. Gambino on 57 and Ewerthon on 61 minutes went close before Kringe missed Borussia's best chance of the game. After a long-range Rosicky effort was fumbled by the Galatasaray goalkeeper, Kringe failed to force home the rebound.
Kringe missed the first penalty. On 67 minutes, after a clash between Necati and Evanilson, the Turkish referee awarded the Turkish giants a dubious penalty. Necati himself stepped up for the spot-kick, but was denied by Weidenfeller. Galatasaray dominated the last 20 minutes of the match, but were unable to break BVB's defence. At the other end the Bundesliga side had one final chance to win the match, but Gambino skied an Addo cross over the crossbar.
