Absolutely. Will be interesting to see what tactics Steve Maclaren employs against Exeter. I guess he would prefer the somewhat less goal-threatening Manchester United, considering boro's good record against his former employers.

Tie(s) of the round: South Coast Derby followed by another derby for Oldham against Bolton.

Like when they lost 1-0 to United at the Riverside Stadium earlier in the year?

They will be looking to save face.

If it is just the last game that counts, then I guess United will be going in as underdogs against Exeter on the 19th

Help?

You all wish that Boro played Exeter, but you all know that United will play boro.

Hey, with all the money Exeter are collecting, they will be able to pay off all their debt and still have change for the five-pound transfer fee Bellion will be commanding (H)

Why would that be? Is it because Man Utd didn't actually lose to Exeter? Or because they had more possession in the game? Or because they could have won the game with more or less the last kick of the game? Or is it because they're likely to field a stronger side for the replay?

Don't over look Derby-Fulham. There's serious history between these two, going back to the 70/80's when Derby fans stormed the pitch when they were winning, beat up women and children, chucked pigs heads into the away fans and pissed into the away end. AND STILL WON THE MATCH BECUASE IT WAS CALLED OFF BECAUSE OF PITCH INVASION, MEANING WE DIDNT GO UP!!!

THe older Fulham fans hate Derby, so it should be a bit tasty.

Because the home team has an advantage... and if you drew at home, chances are you are bound to lose away... and if you drew away then chances are you will win at home... and blah blah blah I won't bother because any bookmaker will tell you that.

Exeter were paying $40 to win as opposed to United paying $1.03... I wonder what the odds will be now. THe draw alone was worth a whopping $12, when most games only pay out around $3 for a draw.

Anyway, fact remains, boro have an exceptional record against you guys over the last couple of seasons. Prove me wrong.

The same chances that led to a 2-0 defeat for Middlesbrough after they got a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford this season?

And I think Exeter are still 10,000:1 to win the FA Cup.

If it's just the past two seasons, then the record stands like this:

United 2-3 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough 0-1 United
United 1-1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough 0-2 United

So that stands at two wins for United, one for Boro, and one draw. Hardly what I call exceptional. It's ok, but certainly not exceptional.

And again, you prove my original point that you can't use just the one previous game as a form guide.... so you are doing the work for me on this one. You are actually arguing against yourself here...

Odds of Exeter winning the FA Cup run from 999:1 at Bet Fair through to 12,000:1 at VC Bet.

:o

I do believe you have included THIS seasons results rather than looking at the PAST couple of seasons as I stated...

which would make it:

2002-2003 03-Sep Manchester United 1-0 Middlesbrough
26-Dec Middlesbrough 3-1 Manchester United
2003-2004 28-Dec Middlesbrough 0-1 Manchester United
11-Feb Manchester United 2-3 Middlesbrough

Which would make it 2 wins for boro, 2 for united... and an aggregate of 6-5 in favour of boro :o Not bad really.
