1) Hernan Crespo
Regarded as one of top strikers in Europe. Played him at Bolton and scores amazing 30 goals per season. Although he is getting older, his scoring ability is still prominent.

2) Juan Sebastian Veron
Another superstar player at a very low price. Being cast away by Chelsea, this hardworking midfielder does most of the job at the centre of the field. Creating as well as scoring 25, 30 yard strikes.

3) Samuel Kuffour
Now for a hard defender. Who else but Kuffour from Bayern. Great ditch tackles, wins everything and his average rating per game is 8.5. Plays well at right back.

4) Cristiano Zanetti
Another want-away class player. This Italian is no stranger in experience and winning matches. Best position is definately Defensive Midfielder holding up play and direct passing. Versatile and vital to any team.

5) Daniel Bierofka
Nothing can go wrong in signing a player from Leverkusen at 400K. At 25, he has still a long way to go and what better way to put him in your team straight away. Best position is Left Attacking Midfield as his dribbling and crossing abilities will woo defenders.

totally disagree with Crespo, i think hes a waste of money on FM. His wage demands are often too high

that is very cheap for a player like crespo in my opninon:mrpimp:

But that's for Veron... Grisales is younger, just as good, if not better, and costs less than half that money :p

And not to mention the wages, Veron asks probably way more.

yeh 80,000 per week .. but hes a bargain at 4.2 along with crespo who is my top scorer for 2 seasons..

and these players boosts the club and supporters.. big name signings

-Holm (any price is cheap for his quality, best attacker in the game IMO)
-van der Vaart (maybe even the best player in FM, av.r.8,6)
-Joaquin (super-quality, too)
-Torres (second best attacker, behind Holm, always crucial goals)
-Mokoena (very cheap, a lot of quality)

well to be honest since it never stated price, my 5 MUST buy players would have to be;

1. Carlos Tevez.
I got him for around 6million Euros before the start of my first season, makes an immediate impact and is easily a 10+ season player

2. Daniel Bonera.
Solid defender. Doesn't always come cheap, i got him for around 8million Euros

3. Wesley Sneijder.
Can get him for around 10million before the start of the first season, is another 10+ season player and can play anywhere along the midfield pretty much. Good long range shot and sets up lots of goals. Pretty much my favourite player in the game.

4. Barry Ferguson
Can get him for free. And is very well much worth the wages you pay him. Was closing in on 30 and was a perfect foil for Gerrard, in the Cup games and coming off the bench

5. Cristian Chivu
Not the cheapest of players. But if you were to have a Bonera/Chivu central pairing like my Liverpool squad, you would already know its pretty much one of the best in the game. Consistant averages of 7.5 a season, and is very good at heading in goals from corners.

strange, normally he's transfer listed at the start and their asking price is set at 900k €. Maybe they sold another defender or something, and they need him again.

Woo...Naldo is at all the big clubs..i'm lucky i've got him early..so he's now in my Everton squad...averaging a 8 per game..as for Kompany, i've never bought him before but i think he would be a good player in a few years time..and don't forget about Vanden Borre..:p

i got him this season for free :p i play him at LCB, works very well. currently he is my second choice team. partner pique at center and spector took left and vanden borre took right. no problems at all :p

I've got 105M euros to spend so I can buy virtually anyone.But I got there by not paying ridiculous amounts so I wouldn't wanna give 30M for a player who isn't worth it...

Kompany was awsome for me just gave him some regular first team football then after 2-3 seasons hes one of the best CB's in the game. Well if you get him at the start anyway.

I got Kily Gonzalez for 2 million € from Inter at the start of the 2nd season, only 20k € a week. Great buy IMO.

Also Opdam is a great defender, while he doesnt cost that much.

Lebohang Mokoena...Always trying to get him if the foreign rules let me.

For a club with only a bit of money ( Norwich or something ) these are the 5 best buys.

1. Phillip Mulryne : For about 3 seasons Mulryne is very useful in midfeild. Perfect passes. About 500,000 pounds

2. Materazzi : From inter. He cost about 1,000,000 pounds and was experienced in defense for about 1 season but his performance fades in the next few years. 1st year - First team 2nd year - Reserves 3rd year - Sack him (H)

3. Amoruso : Only if u raise him well will he be really useful.Start him in the first team in the first season .He may make a few mistakes but he learns from it and in the 2nd season he is a first class defender for about 2 years : Costs 350,000

4. Scowcroft : U buy him from Leicester for about 100,000 pounds. If u buy him early in your career he will spark in the midfeild

5. Robbie Savage in his last years : He may not like your offer at first but when his about 35-36 then he will com on a free maybe. He is pretty good in the first team for a year or so

These are really good players for clubs like Leicester, Crystal Palace, Norwich, Sunderland, Sheffield United and stuff

Christoffer Andersson of Lillestrom.
Very versatile and has amazing stats. Cost about 1 million pounds. He's going to be an FM legend.

Another one is Daniel Fredheim Holm. Only 19 and costs only 975k

Those advises aren't always reliable, but could be. If you're buying the player for a weak spot in the team, you could take the risk and sign him anyway. If you have scouted him, take the scouting report, and the scout's abilities, into consideration as well.

what do you think of Robert Vittek? he is awesome in my game with olympiakos, and with my chealse game he is not bad either

get dede. he is a bosman after the 2005 season. just make sure you offer him a contract when it says approach to sign at the bottom corner. i signed him in january, six months before his contract expired, and i didnt have to copensate old dortmund

Naldo is the best defender I have and he was ultra cheap.
