but i like the size of the front and back textures, they will look a lot sharper ingame

from my perspective they look better, but from a kit maker's point of view is more important. Now they will have to do all the kits over again, or they can just copy and paste the old ones, since lot of them do the kit fronts first normally and not squished down vertically in the template.
